Error message: Windows requires a digitally signed driver

To comply with Microsoft recommendations, DisplayLink didn't digitally signed drivers version 7.9 M4. The drivers are still properly signed by Microsoft, as it would not be possible for us to issue drivers through Windows Update otherwise.

If your computer is not up to date, you may be missing the latest digital certificates from Microsoft required to validate the drivers.
Should you encounter the following alerts, please make sure you have installed all the security updates from Microsoft.

  

From 7.9 M5, our drivers are again signed twice so you should not see this error.

NOTE: security updates are merged in "cumulated" patches under different KB#. Also, certificates can be updated by Microsoft when they wish. This is why we are unable to give you a precise update number to install.
