Overlapped I/O operation in progress message seen on installation

When trying to install the DisplayLink software, the message "Overlapped I/O operation in progress" message is seen. 



This problem is a Windows issue, caused by a Windows update. Instructions on how to fix this issue can be found in this Microsoft Blog article.

Windows 10

Above article does not apply to Windows 10 systems. To solve the problem on Windows 10, please follow below steps (note: you are doing this at your own risk):
1) Rename or remove C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18\ directory
2) Restart computer
3) Restart DisplayLink installation
