PC hangs when booting with USB devices attached

The PC fails to boot when a USB device is attached. This is not a DisplayLink problem and tends to be caused by a bug in the PC BIOS that prevents it correctly enumerating USB DisplayLink devices.

This is usually observed on PCs with early releases of BIOS code. The solution is normally to update to the BIOS from the manufacturer's website.

If updating the BIOS does not solve the problem, also try setting the USB Legacy Mode to Full Speed (not High Speed).
