  2. Have you switched from macOS to Linux? What was your experience?

    Hi,

    I have seen many developers make the switch between macOS and Linux, and it usually comes down to workflow and priorities. macOS is great for stability, hardware performance, and polished everyday applications, especially with Apple Silicon.

    On the other hand, Linux offers much more flexibility and control, which is a big advantage for development work. Native Docker support, better customization, and powerful terminal tools can make a big difference for developers.

    I think the transition can be challenging at first because you have to adjust to different tools and workflows, but many people find Linux a better fit once…

  3. Concept Art to 3D Gap

    Hey, indie team here with strong 2D concept art but zero internal 3D production capacity. Building a dungeon crawler needing game-ready characters, props, and weapons, but nobody on our team can convert our concepts into actual 3D assets. Every freelancer we tried was inconsistent. How do indie teams actually bridge the gap between strong concept art and reliable 3D production when internal capacity simply does not exist?

  7. Implement IOMMU support

    Implement IOMMU Support
    IOMMU is necessary on many libvirt based linux virtual hosts in order to allow guest machines to make use of the host's hardware, such as graphics cards and network cards. In its current state, turning on IOMMU results in Displaylink being unable to communicate with secondary displays, completely negating any benefit from having a displaylink dock.

  8. Start supporting Linux on Lenovo's Thinkpad hardware!

    Lenovo is selling docking solutions for their Thinkpad laptos. These docks have DisplayLink stickers at the button but none of them is working properly with Linux! Deepin Linux (based on Debian) is massively used in China by IT professionals working with Lenovo's Thinkpad hardware. We want at least dual monitor support working with this hardware. At the moment getting this to work is just a big pain in the a**. :-(((((((((((((

  10. add wireless charging to docking stations

    Would be nice if docking stations like "HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2" would include a wireless charging pad. So that you can charge your phone/etc on top of the docking station.

  11. DisplayLink Manager app auto-start on MacOS 10.15.7

    I have been trying to get the new 1.2 display link graphics driver to work with my MBP Catalina10.5.7 and my Asus MB168+ monitor. I stumbled over the fact that it doesn't seem to auto open the driver unless you manually open it in Applications. Might be worth looking at ?

  12. Could you change "Your screen is observed" to something else?

    I got users (macOS) who are thinking that the organization is monitoring them. I have to explain to them that it is the docking station that's getting a wake up call from the laptop.

    Maybe "DisplayLink is waiting for response..." or something...

  13. Signed driver would be very helpful

    Please consider providing officially signed DisplayLink drivers to avoid disabling signature enforcement during install. This would improve security and user experience, especially for daily setups like <a href="https://sloperidergame.org">Slope Rider</a>. Thanks!

    Driver issues with OS 26 with M2 - Constant screen refresh when returning from Standby when laptop is closed

    I even did a complete reinstall by erasing the entire OS and rolling back My MacBook Pro M2 from OS 26.2 to 26.1

    I tried all of these models on the following computers using the same Asus monitors and monitor cables. Add device models are attached in the images. All are using the latest DisplayLink Drivers (15.0.0 Build 22)

  19. Save window layout per dock configuration — windows scatter every time I reconnect

    I run three 4K monitors through a DisplayLink dock at work — two for our data dashboards, one for Slack and email. Every time my laptop wakes from sleep or I unplug for a meeting, all the windows end up piled on the laptop screen and I have to drag everything back manually. We're in the middle of building out a centralized data lake for our analytics team (I've been following the planning steps on https://cobit-solutions.com/en/services/data-lake-consulting-services/) and the number of monitoring panels is about to triple. A "save and restore layout per dock" feature would save me 10 minutes…
