  1. Clone graphic card's monitor to USB DL monitor

    Hello,
I am using three monitor displays, connected to one graphic card. It works fine. But additionally I plan to connect the fourth USB monitor, using DisplayLink utility. I need to obtain the clone of one of these three monitors to this USB one (DL). Unfortunately, the Actual Multiple Monitors soft does not allow to do it. What I can do?

      • Fix glitching mouse pointer in Ubuntu/Arch/Debian

        Hi,
I've tried the DisplayLink driver using the recommended os (Ubuntu 16.04). After connecting a secondary display (1080p) using USB-C, I had a trail of blinking mouse pointers following the real one and all the animations started glitching.

When moving the mouse over any Window except the Desktop, there would be a glitching square (about double the edge length of the mouse pointer sprite) containing the desktop background around the mouse pointer.

I've also tried Arch Linux (using the AUR package) and Debian 9 (Using the Ubuntu package) and they show the exact same behavior.
        On the three operating systems,…

          • Support Ubuntu 18.10

I am currently installing the display link driver for Ubuntu 18.10, following https://github.com/AdnanHodzic/displaylink-debian. I did not try the 4.4.24 install script for 18.04 with 18.10, assuming that it might fail for 18.10, and seeing success reports in https://support.displaylink.com/forums/287786-displaylink-feature-suggestions/suggestions/35648710-support-ubuntu-18-04, although some people see screen outages.
An officially supported 18.10 driver would be great.

            • fix the delay in network connectivity

Whenever I reboot or shutdown my Windows 10 device, the dock reinstalls and this delays the network adapter. This is "new" behavior as of about 10/3/18. That might be when I updated to a certain driver version. I am currently on the latest version and the issue still occurs. The monitors come up immediately, it's just the network adapter that is slow to enable.

              • Figure out why your DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 doesn't work

I've downloaded DisplayLink 4.3.1 for Mac OSX El Capitan 10.11. You have no troubleshooting articles addressing why this driver still fails to work. I'm trying to connect 2 additional screens to my Mac desktop. I've spent countless hours trying to fix this and I just have 2 black screens. This is such a ridiculous set of issues. What's your solution?

                • macOS 10.13.6 works with airplay, but multiple users cannot set display.

Using the UD3900 dock with macOS 10.13.6 works. I have set up multiple accounts to isolate data for enhanced security. All users have mirroring, but only the first user logged in can set the resolution. The subsequently logged in users have the same resolution as the laptop.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a reason or fix?

                        • Ubuntu driver: using dlm.service is rather unfortunate for a clash with dlm cluster control daemon

                          See:
                          https://pagure.io/dlm/blob/master/f/init/dlm.service

It would be better if it could fail with an error in case the file already
exists and is not authentic (from previous installation).

                          Thanks for considering.

DisplayLink do not work properly with 4K screens @ MacOS 10.14. It looks laggy, jamming, like FPS drop.
I've described issue in details here: https://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66349

                            • Intellij stuttering on Displaylink when opening

Opening Intellij IDEA (and maybe other IDEs from Jetbrains) or a file in that IDE makes the output stutter a bit. It happens on every opening action

The whole display, including the mouse pointer, stutters for a few seconds

                                        • Xrandr panning on Linux

                                          I have a 12inch 2880x1920 monitor (eDP-1) and a 21inch (eDP-1) with a 1920x1080 native res. I tried to use

                                          xrandr --fb 6720x2160 --output DVI-I-2-2 --mode 1920x1080 --right-of eDP-1 --scale 2x2 --panning 3840x2160+2880+0

                                          and I got:

X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 140 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 29 (RRSetPanning)
Serial number of failed request: 46
Current serial number in output stream: 46

                                          I have an Asus t303ua
                                          with:
VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 520 (rev 07) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

Is there a plan to support panning in…
