  1. Have you migrated from macOS to Linux?

Hey I've been using a Macbook from my employer for a few years and I had many ups and downs moments with macOS. I find the standard applications really good like mail, calendar, and keynote. The performance of the M series CPU has no equal, specially for notebooks Geometry Vibes. But at the same time I'm a developer and being on Linux is also so good, the window management, being able to use Docker without a VM, and so on.

  2. what logs/debugs are you willing to share that need to be collected to support DisplayLink engineering from the front end?

When deploying DisplayLink-enabled docks to over 200 Windows 11 PCs in an enterprise environment (with multiple 4K monitors, USB–C PD, and 802.1x networking), how do you ensure that: (1) the DisplayLink driver is always automatically updated and compatible with different GPU/host controller versions; (2) any changes from 802.1x policy or from dock firmware updates do not cause the device to lose display connection or become “no signal”; (3) there is a quick fix when some machines report “USB device not recognized” or “DisplayLink device lost video signal” without having to reinstall the entire driver or replace the dock – and…

  3. Add official NFR (Not For Resale) license option for partners and testers

It would be helpful if DisplayLink offered an NFR license program for partners, reviewers, and developers. This would make testing and showcasing products easier without needing a full commercial license.

  4. Recommendation: Optimized support for 4K and 5K displays

    Hello DisplayLink,

I would like to suggest improving the performance and stability when using 4K or 5K displays via DisplayLink connection, especially when running multiple displays or graphics-heavy applications.

This will help the experience be smoother and take full advantage of the high resolution of modern displays.

Thanks to the DisplayLink team for listening to your feedback!

  7. Suggestion: Improve the Multi-Display Experience

    Hello DisplayLink,

Here are some suggestions for improvements:

Personalized Display Profiles: Save and quickly switch between display configurations.

Automatic Display Detection: When connecting a new display, suggest optimal settings.

  8. Support for Dynamic Resolution Switching Based on Active Display in DisplayLink Manager

Currently, DisplayLink Manager maintains a fixed resolution across all connected displays, regardless of which display is active. This limitation can lead to suboptimal Steal Brainrot Game visual experiences, especially when using high-resolution monitors for detailed tasks and lower-resolution monitors for general use.

    Proposed Feature:

Implement dynamic resolution switching in DisplayLink Manager, where the resolution of each connected display adjusts automatically based on its usage. For instance:

When a high-resolution monitor is the primary display, it operates at its native resolution.

Secondary monitors adjust to lower resolutions when not in use, conserving system resources.

    Benefits:

Improved performance and responsiveness, particularly on…

  9. Auto-Adjust Resolution When Docking

It would be great if DisplayLink could automatically detect and apply the preferred resolution and scaling settings for each connected monitor when docking or undocking a laptop. This would save time and ensure consistent display quality across setups.

  10. Advanced USB DisplayLink deployment with mixed GPU environments (Intel + NVIDIA + DisplayLink) – driver conflicts and performance tuning

    Hello DisplayLink Support team,
I am deploying a DisplayLink-based docking station system for a large enterprise environment (approximately 300+ users) using laptops with mixed GPUs (Intel iGPU and NVIDIA dGPU).
During the deployment, I encountered complex issues related to:
    Driver conflicts:
When the laptop switches between Intel and NVIDIA GPUs (e.g., when turning on/off the dGPU or changing performance modes), DisplayLink monitors sometimes lose signal or flicker for 1–2 seconds.
Some docking devices (Dell D6000, Targus DOCK190) require DisplayLink Manager and NVIDIA Control Panel to be installed in parallel, but after updating the GPU driver, the video performance dropped dramatically.…

  11. DisplayLink not working properly with MacBook Pro M3

    Hello,

I’m fairly new to macOS and just got a MacBook Pro M3 this week.

I’ve connected it to my Dell D6000 docking station using USB-C, which is hooked up to two external monitors (one via HDMI, one via DisplayPort). I’ve already installed the DisplayLink Manager app and enabled the Screen Recording permission, but my external displays only work after I log in — there’s no image at the login screen.

Has anyone else run into this issue or found a workaround?

  12. Option to enable automatic DisplayLink driver updates regardless of dock connection status

I manage a large Windows 10 client environment, and keeping drivers up to date is a key priority for us. Ideally, I’d like DisplayLink (DL) drivers to update automatically—whether or not a dock is currently connected. stickman hook

From what I understand, this isn’t the current behavior. When a computer connects to a DL dock, the driver activates automatically, and if Windows Update is allowed to handle driver updates, it will install a newer version when available.

However, I’d prefer an option to schedule automatic driver checks and updates independently of Windows Update—perhaps daily, weekly, or monthly—so that systems remain…

  13. Feature Suggestion: Enhanced Multi-Monitor Layout Management

    Hello DisplayLink Team,

I would like to suggest an enhancement to improve the multi-monitor experience. Currently, managing multiple monitors connected via DisplayLink can sometimes be cumbersome, especially when adjusting resolutions, scaling, or quickly switching layouts.

It would be very helpful to have a built-in layout manager that allows users to:

Save and recall multiple monitor arrangements.

Quickly switch between landscape, portrait, or custom configurations.

Adjust scaling and resolution for each monitor individually without affecting others.

This feature would make DisplayLink setups more efficient, especially for users with laptops docking to multiple external displays for work, gaming, or creative tasks.

    Thank…

  14. Would You Like DisplayLink to Support Wireless Docking with Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7?

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about how DisplayLink technology could evolve beyond wired USB and HDMI setups. With the rise of Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 offering low latency and high bandwidth, wouldn’t it be amazing if DisplayLink supported wireless docking? Imagine connecting your monitor, keyboard, and peripherals seamlessly without a single cable!

I’m curious — do you think a wireless DisplayLink dock would be stable and fast enough for everyday productivity or even light gaming? What potential issues do you think might come up (like latency or interference)?

Would love to hear if anyone else would be interested in…

  15. Addressing DisplayLink Challenges on Mac Mini M4

As a tech enthusiast, I believe that the integration of DisplayLink technology with the Mac Mini M4 presents both opportunities and challenges. While DisplayLink offers the ability to connect multiple monitors and enhance productivity, users often encounter issues such as driver compatibility, screen flickering, and resolution limitations. These challenges can hinder the overall user experience, particularly for professionals relying on seamless multi-display setups.

In my opinion, Apple should prioritize better support for DisplayLink in future macOS updates to ensure smoother functionality and greater user satisfaction. Improved collaboration between DisplayLink and Apple could lead to a more robust solution, empowering users…

  16. USB Device Not Recognized Errors When Connecting DisplayLink Hardware

Many users ( include me) experience a “USB device not recognized” error when connecting DisplayLink-enabled devices such as docking stations, external monitors, or adapters. This issue can be frustrating because it prevents the connected display or peripheral from functioning properly.
