  1. Solve the iTunes crash issue on Mac

    Every time iTunes is started on a Mac with a second monitor driven by a DisplayLink-based adapter, one has to be aware NEVER to minimize the iTunes window: this always lead to the OS crashing and sending the user back to the login window.

    It doesn't matter which monitor iTunes is displayed upon: if minimized, it WILL crash. Please fix.

  2. MacBook Air M1

    I have a HP G2 dock that I use with my work HPG7 laptop. I wanted to use my MacBook Air M1, purchased recently with this dock.
    I downloaded the display link driver, as recommended by a few website and within a few minutes, I have extended desktop from my MacBook Air onto my 2x HP E243i monitors.
    I can even close the MacBook Air and still use the monitors and USB peripherals.
    It's the same experience as my HP G7 laptop

  3. MacOS: Menu bar switch for activating / deactivating the driver

    There are several occasions when I have to quit the DisplayLink driver app e.g. when I want to watch copy protected video content. Under MacOS there is a DisplayLink Icon in the menu bar. In order to temporarily disable the DisplayLink driver I have to quit the app. After that I have to start the driver all over again. That's not handsome.

    Suggestion:

    • Simple possibility to activate and deactivate the driver via the DisplayLink menu icon: New entries "Suspend DisplayLink driver" or "Resume DisplayLink driver".

  4. Bring proper performant support for Linux on AMD Ryzen

    Hey,

    you released the last Linux driver update in May 2020 now it is Feb 2021. I would like to see here some major improvements as the driver doesn't full fill any needs.

    Linux is already a good platform and will be even more important in future, so please support this community as well.

    Or if you don't like Linux as a platform, then move all your servers either to Windows or Mac systems as well... hahahha

  5. Ubuntu 20.04 on MacBook Pro

    I upgraded from 18.04 and I couldn't get DisplayLink to work for several hours. I the end it I found I had to power-cycle the dock, and now all is OK

    (Except: this crept in during a kernel update on the previous OS -- If I disable the laptop's display, everything becomes really sluggish, so I keep it on)

  6. Ubuntu driver 5.3.1 bug

    You should correct the Ubuntu driver to create the support frame buffer /dev/fb1
    In the last version 5.3.1 installed in Ubuntu 20.04 it's not created.
    Without the /dev/fb1 is not possible to set up a multihead system with loginctl.

  7. Add features to DisplayLink Manager (Mac OS; poss. others)

    Let's turn the screen real-estate from the DisplayLink Manager (DLM) into something more useful:
    1) Add display of DLM version number.
    2) Add access to DLM logs or trouble-shooting tools.
    3) Add unicorns and rainbows. (Catch-all for any content you'd like.)

  9. screen not detected with 10.1 M2 Win

    I updated my system from 10.1 M1 to 10.1 M2 (Win10, Plugable UD6950 USB3 dual 4K, BenQ 3440x1440) and the monitor was not longer detected, even after rebooting PC+dock.
    Fortunatly desinstalling M2 and reinstalling M1 solve the issue

  10. Support to

    Suppor of I1 display pro of X-rite on Mac-os Big Sur to make it possible that i can callibrate my two other screens.
    Now this is impossilble. The two other screens are not recognised.

  12. Ubuntu 5.5 beta feedback....

    While I understand that 21.10 is technically unsupported, I thought I'd let you know Beta 5.5 is working great. I can now rearrange my monitors without crashing. System info below.

    OS: Ubuntu 21.10 x86_64
    Host: 81LL IdeaPad L340-17IRH Gaming
    Kernel: 5.13.0-22-generic

    Resolution: 1920x1080, 1920x1080, 1920x1080
    DE: GNOME 40.5

  13. Update documentation for disabling PageFlip on Ubuntu

    The documentation at https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1181623-displaylink-ubuntu-driver-after-recent-x-upgrades suggests creating a configuration file in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d, however configuration in this directory may be ignored in favor of user-specific config at /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d.   14. Wacom display tablet on Android

    Using a DisplayLink dock I have connected a Wacom One Display Tablet to a Google Pixel 3a mobile running Android 12. I have used both the DisplayLink Presenter and Desktop app. The display works however, the stylus input, while recognized, is not calibrated for both portrait and landscape. When using a mouse, the pointer is displayed on the mobile screen but, not the external display.

  15. switch synch rate 30 -> 60

    I found this fixed my issue. The resolution was 4k'is and refresh rate was 30hz. I suspect this is due to limited resources based on my particular hardware setup. In any case switching from 30hz to 60hz also reduced the resolution to half of what it was. This was a win-win in my case as I didn't need/want 4k. I do have a pretty old machine and I am pumping this all through USB3 so probably a resource issue and then the slow refresh confused my considerably, compared to PC, newer HDMI --> TV <-- .   16. Allow selecting which monitor to use when connected to android device

    I have a D3100. My Samsung Android tablet seems to select the first available display among my multiple monitors, which is not always the optimal monitor to use.

    I'm facing an weird issue while I'm using the model-6950z.

    Somehow my Wi-Fi drivers stops to work =/

    Since macOS Big Sur, Apple recommends a square shape for icons instead of the round shape of previous versions.

  20. Displaylink driver for Ubuntu + Nvidia - Support for monitors in portrait

    Vertical monitors with Ubuntu and Displaylink drivers is not well supported. Especially with NVIDIA drivers installed. I am using the current latest version of Tuxedo OS (TUXEDO-OS-2-202305301020).
    Vertical monitors fail to display properly and leave behind a mouse cursor when moving from external monitor to monitor.
