  1. After updating to macOS Sequoia 15.4.1, DisplayLink Manager stopped functioning.

Before the update, I was able to use dual monitors, but after updating, they no longer work. I need this issue addressed urgently.

  2. better mac icc profiles for monitors

    hi!

there seems to be a need for better icc color profiles for mac. i'm using asus mb169b+ portable monitor and the colors are not very good. there is a real problem with the subtile greys, they are not getting displayed.

hopefully there will be something done about this.

  3. Request: Better Multi-Monitor Stability and GPU Resource Management for DisplayLink on Windows 11

I’ve been using DisplayLink docks for a while to manage multiple external monitors on Windows 11, and overall, the experience has been great — Granny Game smooth setup, reliable performance, and minimal latency. However, I’ve recently noticed some intermittent stability issues when running high GPU-demanding tasks such as video editing or 3D rendering.

Occasionally, one or more external displays flicker or temporarily disconnect, especially when switching between GPU-intensive applications. It seems related to how DisplayLink interacts with Windows graphics scheduling or power management.

Would it be possible for future DisplayLink driver updates to optimize GPU resource…

  4. Old Macbook Pro

I realize there may not be much beyond “upgrade.” I have an older MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with two USB-A ports and two Thunderbolt (2) ports. I’m using a Dell D6000 dock that connects via USB-C (with an included USB-C to USB-A adapter).

The Mac seems to work with the dock—keyboard, mouse, etc. are all functional, and I can drive two external 1080p displays. However, the performance is poor: the mouse is laggy, window movement is jittery, and interactions generally feel choppy. My hunch is that the connection bandwidth available through the dock/adapter path isn’t sufficient.

    Is there anything I…

  5. Allow sharing of multiple screens for NDI Scan Converter

I think this is a DisplayLink limitation, but just installed a Startech 102B multilink for 2 x HDMI extended displays on an M2 Macbook Pro. Displays work great, but unable to send both to NDI Tools Scan Converter. Can only do one or the other. Need to present both a powerpoint slide (extended display 1) and notes (extended display 2). thank you for your consideration!

  6. Enable Using AirPlay, for macOS 10.12.+ Siera Just like is being done on High Siera and Mojave

I am a video deejay using a Macbook that has a failed GPU so i currently rely on one of your devices to connect to an external display.I upgraded to Mac OS High sierra and realized that my display link driver works differently(blue airplay icon) and i have much better performance now(faster frame rates with mix-emergency & Serato ,transparency on the dock And task bar),thank you for that .But The problem is Mac Os High Sierra is Just too Unstable right now for example due to the failed GPU i have completely disabled it but because of that my…

  8. External Monitor Flickering When Using DisplayLink on Windows 11

    Hi everyone,

I recently set up a DisplayLink docking station with two external monitors on my Windows 11 laptop. While everything initially worked, I’ve started noticing occasional flickering on one of the monitors whenever I move windows or scroll through webpages.

I’ve updated both the DisplayLink driver and my graphics drivers to the latest versions, but the issue persists. I’ve tried different cables and ports, and the flickering seems to happen randomly rather than consistently.

Has anyone else experienced this issue on Windows 11 with DisplayLink? Could it be a driver conflict, or is there a setting

  9. Support lightning (aka HiDPI) resolutions

On Mac Mojave, Displaylink does not support HiDPI resolutions. These are screen modes that render the desktop at double the size so that fonts become more crisp. For example on my 1440p monitor, there's a 720p HiDPI mode. When I connect the monitor directly to my mac, this mode can be selected. When I connect via my Dell D6000, nothing happens when selecting this mode.

You can use the following open source application to select resolutions:

    https://github.com/chris1111/RDM

A related issue is that custom resolutions added by the above application do not work when the monitor is connected via Display

  10. DisplayLink v5.2.1 , macOS 10.14.6, MacBook Pro 13,3. Memory leak in WindowServer

I am using 1 DisplayLink screen, 3 other external screens (2 HDMI, 1 mini DisplayPort) and the internal laptop screen. I have noticed that over time, the WindowsServer process's memory use slowly creeps up, unless the user logs out and logs in again (restarting the window server) Sleeping the Mac does not prevent this. Eventually, the Mac reports that it is "Out of Application memory" and the computer must be rebooted. This only seems to happen if I use the DisplayLink screen.
This is a relatively recent change. I've been using DisplayLink for many OS X/macOS…

  11. Suggestions for Clear Visual Organization in Documentation and UI

    Hi everyone,

I often work with sites and applications that involve a lot of visual content and information, and I’ve noticed that clear organization makes a big difference in usability. For example, when browsing sites like https://share.google/GA9fYvQHNnAXLmhFQ, project galleries and service information are presented with simple structure and clear headings, which makes it easy to find what you need without getting lost in too much detail.

When it comes to DisplayLink setups, especially in environments where multiple displays, dashboards, or data panels are involved, having UI elements and documentation laid out in a way that’s easy to…

DisplayLink technology doesn’t have any restriction on layout or aspect ratio. I suggest you open a technical support case with your details with tecnhical_enquiries at displaylink, com to check that you don’t hit a hardware limitation from your adapter.

  14. Retain Windows positions on screen when plugging in dock cable

When i switch between 2 computers using the same dock, all the windows positions are lost and i have to spend time rearranging them back to where i like them (across multiple monitors). I swap pcs regularly during the day and i waste alot of time doing this. If it can retain the windows settings it would be awesome

  15. Add support for ios 13 or make a product mainly for it.

Add support to ios ( idk if this is even possible ) but iOs 13 looks promising. A dock or stand for ipad pro for mainly desktop use would be great!

  16. Is there a way to decompress DisplayLink data on another device?

I would love to be able to forward raw DisplayLink data to another device (running a host OS like Linux/Windows) and decode that data on the device for a live PiP sort-of display. This could enable devices that allow hosting other devices' displays on one single master device. I am a hobbyist looking to create a proof-of-concept device that allows me to control another device from mine. (Focusing on high-ish performance and not using existing tech like Wireless transmission, or other non-native solutions) DisplayLink seems like a perfect candidate currently, since the data is compressed and…

  17. support close lid

It would be great if you can implement support for the close lid, as this is available for the legacy driver, I'm not able to work on my Mac when the lid is closed and have to stick with old software to had that feature. On Display link Manager when you put a lid to close mode mac goes to sleep instead of turn off the internal monitor.

  18. Work to provide RHEL/CentOS native compatibility

Every employee in the modern corporate environment has a laptop.

On each laptop are displaylink drivers to support the docks at workstations (for 2 to 6 monitors).

All of those workstations run windows, but they don't have to - they could run RHEL or CentOS instead, if there was a displaylink driver available.

Please work to create and support a displaylink driver for RHEL/CentOS. You would bring joy to many developers and engineers working from both home and office.

As the displays are relevant for only the workstations, creating it only for the latest version and…

  19. Add Network detection like Kensington DockWorks

Please add network settings to Display-Link Software, so that Kensington DockWorks functionality is available for all Docking Stations:

    • disable WiFi when connecting to a Docking Station with Ethernet Connection
    • Passthrough MAC-Adress from the WiFi-Adpter to the Eth-Adapter in the Dock, so that the same IP-Adress can be used and all network cennections don't need to be reconfigured
    • Enable WiFi again when Dock is disconnected

  20. integrate with package managers

It would be lovely if i could keep up with the latest display link drivers and software using brew or apt-get. I don't think that's super hard... better apple/linux support probably a priority... but yeah. I think you have a huge market with people who want the reliability of Apple and the display real estate offered by display link (since apple wants you to use their wimpy graphics cards, or pay through the nose for $1000 retina displays).

(I have 4 display link driven 24 inch screens connected to my mac, with the 2 supported by my laptop --…

    declined  ·  Wim responded

Thanks for the suggestion. For Linux we intend to supply and support a driver for Ubuntu, but have designed it to be repackaged for distribution to other Linux distributions.

We cannot be the experts to maintain this for all Linux distros. We intend to provide the tools to enable it to be ported and added to package managers by those familiar with the particular distro they wish to package it for.

If you have repackaged it for a package manager, please let us know and we can build a list of supported distros.
