After updating to macOS Sequoia 15.4.1, DisplayLink Manager stopped functioning.
Before the update, I was able to use dual monitors, but after updating, they no longer work. I need this issue addressed urgently.

The error message is misleading since DisplayLink itself doesn't actually need that much space to operate.

After further investigation, I found that DisplayLink Manager disables screens when available disk space falls below a certain threshold, even though there is no swap usage whatsoever (swap remains at 0 bytes in Activity Monitor).
My findings:
- With ~4GB free disk space: DisplayLink keeps stopping with the "low disk space" error
- With ~22GB free disk space: Everything works perfectly stable
- DisplayLink temporary files only use ~13MB
- No cache files found in ~/Library/Caches/com.displaylink.*
- Swap usage stays at 0 bytes throughoutThis suggests there's a hardcoded disk space check in DisplayLink Manager that refuses to run below ~15-20GB free space, regardless of actual disk usage. The error message is misleading since DisplayLink itself doesn't actually need that much space to operate.
System info:
- macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 (24G90)
- Baseus Spacemate dock (Mac version)
- 2 DisplayLink screensHas anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to bypass or adjust this threshold?

Hi,
Any news concerning this issue?
I'm experiencing issues with DisplayLink Manager 14.0.0 (Build 17) on macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 where my DisplayLink display is automatically disabled after a few minutes, and I was wondering if it was related with this issue.
Thank you,

We’ve noticed several users experiencing DisplayLink issues after updating to macOS Sequoia 15.4.1. Athttps://coursefpx.com/ , we understand how crucial multi-display setups are for productivity and online learning, so we know this can be frustrating.
In many cases, macOS updates can temporarily affect third-party drivers like DisplayLink. A few steps that might help:
Reinstall the latest DisplayLink Manager directly from the official website.
Grant screen recording permissions again in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Restart your Mac after installation.
If the issue continues, try resetting the DisplayLink permissions using Terminal or wait for an official patch from DisplayLink.
We recommend keeping an eye on both Apple and DisplayLink’s support pages for updates — compatibility fixes are usually released shortly after major macOS updates.

Curious about alternative investment options, I registered on https://indigenousloanguarantee.com/ Indigenous Loan Guarantee Reviews. The site presents itself as a Canadian-friendly platform with AI-powered trading tools. After a small initial investment, I noticed some positive movement in my account. However, the lack of transparency regarding the company's background and regulatory compliance raised concerns. If you're in Canada and considering this platform, it's essential to conduct thorough research and remain cautious about the risks involved

I’m experiencing the same issue after updating to macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 — DisplayLink Manager stops working, and dual monitors either split or shut off, even after clean installs. It would be great if DisplayLink could release a quick fix or rollback, as this disrupts workflows for many users. By the way, I also run a site on Real Estate Agents London: https://realestateagentslondon.co.uk/company-let/ and know how important reliable multi-screen setups are across different industries

Same problem here. Cleaning up old versions of DisplayLink manager and updating to the newest version doesn't sole the problem. There must be an issue with memory management in Sequoia 15.4.1...

Same issue
With macOS 15.4.1~15.5
DisplayLink keeps on quitting with the following error :"Your screens have been stopped by the system
This can happen if the hard disk space is low.
Please free up some space and re-enable the screens using switches in
Displays tab."The Mac has plenty of room, the error IS NOT related to lack of storage

After upgrading to macOS Sequoia 15.4.1, DisplayLink Manager stopped working completely. Before that, everything was stable - I used two monitors without any problems. By the way, if anyone is interested in distracting themselves from technical problems, here's a cool premium car rental service in Dubai: https://trinityrental.com/ - it looks very solid! Now the system simply does not see them. I really hope that an update or at least some temporary workaround will be released in the near future, because it is critical for work.
