better mac icc profiles for monitors
hi!
there seems to be a need for better icc color profiles for mac. i'm using asus mb169b+ portable monitor and the colors are not very good. there is a real problem with the subtile greys, they are not getting displayed.
hopefully there will be something done about this.

I can't use my nice 4K monitor with certain applications as I can't see toggles or buttons to click. The standard apple profile works great without displaylink. Once introduced...I got the ability to run multiple displays (thanks apple how dumb is it that your "AMAZING M1 silicon" can't support more than one display natively?! - I digress). Thank you display link for your product and service. Works great! sometimes it errors out and I have to kill your app then relaunch. I just installed your beta 1.8 version for M1 processors. Will test the profiles...I didn't see anything in the release notes around improving the color profile for these subtle grays.
Any help here to get a better colour profile would be wonderful. Thank you.

I'm having this same issue, have you found a solution? I know it's been 4 years, but I'm hoping you have one.

Same issue here. I have 2 monitors using DisplayPort where the grays are completely white. Makes it impossible to do my work as a web developer, making the system un-usable. Is there any way around this now? I see the original post and comments are quite old.

Hello DisplayLink,
I am using an MB169B+ on macOS Sierra 10.12.6. I agree with other users that the subtle colours are not being handled well with the current ICC profile. Google uses a lot of light-grey in their UI but it's almost impossible to see.
A better ICC profile or a feature to control the display contrast will be wonderful. -

I am experiencing the same issue. Light greys simple display as white. It is frustrating because some buttons become invisible on a lot of websites. I am running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and the latest displaylink driver for mac osx.
