      Update: June 20th
      Dear DisplayLink macOS users,

Installing macOS 10.13.4, or newer, will cause DisplayLink connected displays to go blank after the OS update when using DisplayLink driver v4.1. Extended displays continue to work as expected in macOS 10.13.3 and below.
Functionality such as Ethernet and audio, where implemented, is unaffected.

DisplayLink driver v4.3 beta 5 currently provides an interim solution with one extended USB display (720p or 1080p) on macOS 10.13.4, 10.13.5 and 10.14 first developer previews, using Apple AirPlay® on machines with that feature. All additional DisplayLink screens will be cloning the primary display.
An FAQ details how to enable Apple AirPlay with DisplayLink display for extend or mirror mode: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1854724
DisplayLink driver v4.3 beta 5 is available from http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1169

Our team have made further progress towards finding a solution which would restore full extended display support for multiple DisplayLink displays in a future release of macOS. As…

      • Highsierra compatible

Please make the usb driver highsierra (macOS 10.13) compatible! At the moment, I can see my mouse, moving on the monitor, everything other than that is just black. It would be bvery nice if I could use this monitor on highsierra!

        • Increased Mouse lag since the W10 Redstone / DP Driver 8.0 Update.

I have increased Mouse lag since the W10 Redstone / DisplayLink Driver 8.0 Update. I have a 3-screen Setup here. Surface Pro 3 + the DisplayLink USB Docking Station with 2 additional Screens. Working on those 2 external Screens got a bit tedious since the W10 Redstone / DisplayLink 8.0 Update. Maybe I´m too sensitive, but I feel enough mouse lag on the external Screens to slow down my daily work a bit. I´m using the DisplayLink Adapter since 2 years now and there were highs and lows regarding lag, but Version 7.9 on Windows 10 1511 was really good.…

The change is needed in the operating system kernel mode graphics driver. Microsoft has now planned this development for a Windows 10 future release.
In the meantime, provided you have purchased a platform allowing you to, the workaround is to disable the low end GPU so Windows uses the only one left. Today, Windows will always use the POST graphics card.

            • Support for LUTs

I have a laptop connected with an external monitor through a USB dock. It seems that DisplayLink does not support LUT as the ICC profile creation software (XRite i1Profiler) cannot complete the ICC profile creation for the secondary monitor connected through the USB Dock. The software works fine if I connect the monitor directly to the laptop HDMI port.

              • Support f.lux and Night Light on Windows

Flux will reduce the amount of blue light emitted by the screen which aids going to bed. As it stands, there is no support for color calibration to DisplayLink connected monitors. DCC/CI commands are supported, but there are issues that make it not a viable solution (http://superuser.com/questions/257606/is-there-a-work-around-to-configure-brightness-or-color-on-a-displaylink-monitor).

A team has been allocated and is assessing the work for Windows 10 Creators Update onwards.
When a new estimate is available, I will be able to share an estimated delivery date.

f.lux has enabled some support for DisplayLink indirect displays (Windows 10)
You can download f.lux from https://justgetflux.com/

For the few wanted to do real monitor calibration, please contact technical_enquiries@displaylink.com to discuss how to enable this on your particular configuration, if that could work today.
