That DisplayLink issue on Mac sounds really annoying, especially when desktop icons stop responding in “show desktop” mode. I’ve seen similar quirks with external display setups before, and they can be tricky to diagnose since it’s often a driver or window management conflict.
On a different note, I’ve been using FastVPN for Mac from Namecheap, https://www.namecheap.com/vpn/mac-download/ and it’s been a smooth experience overall. It helps keep my connection stable and secure, especially when working across different networks and setups like this.

This is not resolved. Running ver 1.8.1 (build 63.180) on a 2020 MacBook Pro with the Apple M1 chip, with MacOS Monterey Version 12.6.6. I have "Desktop" set as a "Hot Corner" under Mission Control. After installing DisplayLink, I can still see my desktop but cannot actually interact with anything on it.

Though stated above that this issue is resolved, it absolutely is not, and is incredibly frustrating. Using version 1.8.1 on a 16" 2021, m1 MBP.

I'm having this problem too with DL ver 1.6 on macOS 12.2. Three ways to "Show Desktop":
1) Function+F11.
2) trackpad gesture of thumb and 3 fingers
3) using hot corners: SysPrefs > Desktop & Screen Saver > Hot Corners > DesktopNo matter the method, I cannot select anything on the desktop of my primary DisplayLink monitor. I can only select desktop icons on the built-in M1 MacBook Air display or the secondary DisplayLink monitor. If I swap primary monitors to the other DL monitor the problem follows, can't select anything on the desktop of the primary DL monitor while using "Show Desktop". I'm using a Plugable USBC-6950U.
Please fix this bug!
Thanks!***Update*** When the DisplayLink software is running and the DisplayLink adapter is unplugged you cannot select anything on the primary monitor using "show desktop". Quit the software and it works fine.
