    If the problem started after DisplayLink 1.6, first try updating to the latest DisplayLink software and macOS-compatible driver. If the issue remains, disconnect the DisplayLink dock or monitor and check whether the desktop icons become clickable again. Restarting Finder can also refresh the desktop without restarting the entire Mac. https://tiranga.com.mx You can also test with DisplayLink disabled to confirm whether it is causing the conflict. If the problem continues, report the issue to DisplayLink with your macOS version, DisplayLink version, and dock/adapter model.
