      Update: November 5th
      Dear DisplayLink macOS users,

DisplayLink has worked for many months to maintain support for its users during the transition from macOS High Sierra to Mojave. While functionality such as Ethernet and audio or charging, where implemented, is unaffected on all releases, display connectivity has been limited on macOS releases 10.13.4, 10.13.5 and 10.13.6.

macOS 10.14 Mojave with DisplayLink driver v5.0.1 allows you to run up to 4 extended displays with now optional clamshell and mirror modes. Support for rotated displays is also improved.
DisplayLink driver v5.0.1 is applicable to macOS 10.14 only.
      Driver v5.0.1: http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1257

Should you experience black extended display(s) with only mouse cursor on 10.14. We recommend you use macOS 10.14.2 Beta 1 or newer. We have also left DisplayLink driver v4.3 Beta available to force an AirPlay extended display on these machines if you cannot update to 10.14.2 Beta 1 with DisplayLink driver 5.0.1.…

    • Linux wayland support

Displaylink does not seem to work with wayland yet, which is starting to be the standard, replacing Xorg, on linux soon:

      https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/WaylandByDefault
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayland_(display_server_protocol)

Would be great if you could also support wayland!

Work for Wayland has now started. The development is now focusing on working with upstream to extend GNOME’s compositor, Mutter, to support hot-pluggable secondary displays, which will allow DisplayLink drivers to work with GNOME on Wayland.

The GNOME release that is likely to include the necessary changes would be the next stable release, 3.32.

      • Make it more user friendly

General overhaul of DisplayLink UI and installation manual. If I were complete beginner, I probably would have no chance to get it running properly.

        • Win-10 High-CPU

Get rid of lag and high CPU usage with in windows 10, while using a dock. I have seen Windows Driver foundation get as high as 62% when moving items on my screen.

          • Highsierra compatible

Please make the usb driver highsierra (macOS 10.13) compatible! At the moment, I can see my mouse, moving on the monitor, everything other than that is just black. It would be bvery nice if I could use this monitor on highsierra!

The change is needed in the operating system kernel mode graphics driver. Microsoft has now planned this development for a Windows 10 future release.
In the meantime, provided you have purchased a platform allowing you to, the workaround is to disable the low end GPU so Windows uses the only one left. Today, Windows will always use the POST graphics card.

              • Increased Mouse lag since the W10 Redstone / DP Driver 8.0 Update.

I have increased Mouse lag since the W10 Redstone / DisplayLink Driver 8.0 Update. I have a 3-screen Setup here. Surface Pro 3 + the DisplayLink USB Docking Station with 2 additional Screens. Working on those 2 external Screens got a bit tedious since the W10 Redstone / DisplayLink 8.0 Update. Maybe I´m too sensitive, but I feel enough mouse lag on the external Screens to slow down my daily work a bit. I´m using the DisplayLink Adapter since 2 years now and there were highs and lows regarding lag, but Version 7.9 on Windows 10 1511 was really good.…

                • Support for LUTs

I have a laptop connected with an external monitor through a USB dock. It seems that DisplayLink does not support LUT as the ICC profile creation software (XRite i1Profiler) cannot complete the ICC profile creation for the secondary monitor connected through the USB Dock. The software works fine if I connect the monitor directly to the laptop HDMI port.

                  • Support f.lux and Night Light on Windows

Flux will reduce the amount of blue light emitted by the screen which aids going to bed. As it stands, there is no support for color calibration to DisplayLink connected monitors. DCC/CI commands are supported, but there are issues that make it not a viable solution (http://superuser.com/questions/257606/is-there-a-work-around-to-configure-brightness-or-color-on-a-displaylink-monitor).

The new estimate of delivery for f.lux, night mode, and monitor calibration on Windows 10 Creators Update onwards is for release 9.0, planned before the end of 2018. When a 9.0 Alpha or Beta is issued, you will be able to try the feature on products based on the DL-3000, DL-5000 and DL-6000 series ASICs.

f.lux has enabled some support for DisplayLink indirect displays (Windows 10)
You can download f.lux from https://justgetflux.com/
