HI, Let customers decide WHEN to install new drivers. (Automatic driver update messes up my 4 + 1 monitor trading station.) Thanks.
(the automatic updates re-arrange and resize everything on my screens causing me headache. The driver should be updater when no windows left opened / programmes running.)
1 vote8.0+ will cause the software update to happen over the next reboot, rather than immediately while you are working.

Driver Signing
Your DisplayLink driver is unsigned. It won't work with 64bit Windows OS. I suggest fixing that if you want people to buy your product.
1 voteOur drivers are signed. If you use Windows 7, update with Microsoft security patches to verify Microsoft digital signature successfully.

Fix the problem where DisplayLinkUserAgent eats 38% of my CPU
OS is windows 10, DLUA is 7.9.6.30.0. This often gets in a state where the user agent sets there using between 35 and 38% of CPU.

Don't require drivers to be installed for disabled display adapters
I have a machine with an integrated display adapter and a PCI adapter running Windows 10. The integrated controller is not supported by Windows 10 and I have disabled it using device manager (I don't have an option to disable it in BIOS). When I attempt to install the DisplayLink core software, it re-enables the disabled adapter and then tells me it cannot install the software because there are no drivers for the adapter that I had disabled.
2 votesThis is implemented on Windows 10 Anniversary Update onwards.

Windows 10 with 7.9M3 (Yoga 900)
When windows 10 with 7.9M3 on a yoga 900 goes to sleep and is connected to the dock, it doesn't come back.
Also, if I unplug the dock when the laptop sleeps, when I wake it up nothing works anymore.

Bring back the forum link under Driver Downloads.
This product poses difficulties on nearly all platforms and your users need a place to discuss this and collaborate. Your attempt to remove the forums (that still exist at http://www.displaylink.org/forum/) has not gone unnoticed, and at face value appears to be a step in the wrong direction.
From the top of this page: "However members of the DisplayLink team are active on the DisplayLink Forum, where your question may already be answered."

Repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting (STILL)
I'm running an ASUS ROG G56jk-EB72 Gaming Laptop with the latest version of Windows 10 (As of 11/12/2015) 64-Bit. CPU: Intel (R) HD Graphics 4600 & GPU: Nvidea GeForce GTX 850M. Trying to project onto two additional Insignia displays using two Targus USB 3.0 to HDMI HDTV Video Adapter. So I spent about $300 for the displays and $160 on the video adapters and this doesn't even work. I am beyond frustrated. All of my drivers are up to date. I followed the steps as instructed by the troubleshooting page; "How to fix your DisplayLink product from repeatedly disconnecting and…

Program removing desktop icons!
I wrote the program removes desktop icons into a side window. You wrote it does not. I uninstalled your software and got my icons back on my desktop. I want you to cease attempting to reinstall your software. I will NOT accept your software on my computer!
1 voteOur software is not made to modify the desktop icons. We suggest you enter a support ticket so we can look if our software is indeed the culprit as the icons might have been moved by windows to another desktop, your primary screen.

Use secondary graphics adapter for rendering as well
Laptops with two graphics adapters (Intel HD + dedicated) would highly benefit, if DisplayLink would render the data with the stronger graphics adapter as well.
30 votesThis idea has been surpassed by the architecture update now available for DisplayLink in Windows 10 Anniversary update. The OS now has an interface for DisplayLink graphics to use the GPUs, and DissplayLink no longer has control over the GPU it can use.
This either makes the idea “complete” or “declined”. I’m marking “complete” assuming the OS now does this for the DisplayLink driver.

Problem with new version 7.9M3 - Office Protected View
I encountered a Problem with the new version 7.9M3 when opening Office documents from remote Location. I had to remove the "Protected view" functionality or alternatively store the document first on the local drive to be able to open the Office document.
26 votesYou can download our latest version (7.9 M4) which fixes the Office protected view bug from http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/sla.php?fileid=177
Thank you for your patience whilst we did the testing.

Can you fix the issue with dual graphics cards?
I have had a problem with your displaylink products for months now, it's causing my entire OS to hand. It seems I'm not the only one, I found the below forum post showing multiple people have the same issue.
http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=63963I've tried cleanups, reinstalling the latest drivers and all I could think of. The only way I can get the system to stop crashing is if I always reboot my PC right after I disconnect display link each and every time which is ridiculous. I wouldn't buy a laptop if I wanted to reboot 5 times a day.
There is…

add support for the VMWare SVGA Driver so that virtual machine guests can use display link
When using virtual machines it would be really handy to have them display via usb adapters on spare monitors or PIP overlays in fancy monitors.
Many virtualisation engineers would be buying your products, many times.
64 votesThe new DisplayLink architecture in Windows 10 Anniversary update onwards now enables support for Virtual machines.

Allow auto hide of the taskbar on multiple displays
In the previous windows version DisplayLink7.5M1 the auto-hide of the taskbar applied across all screens. This no longer happens in the latest version DisplayLink7.9M2.

Instead of simply crashing, alert the user to a monitor hardware malfunction
I recently found out through a very circuitous process that my monitor is failing. But in this process, instead of alerting me to any issue, the drivers would crash and the icon would disappear from my system tray, making me think your software was malfunctioning. Instead, such a crash should be caught with exception handling, and then alert the user there is a hardware malfunction.
1 voteWe already try to gracefully restart whenever possible. You might encounter an unforeseen case not handled properly which would need crash dumps to be investigated.
