Examine why we need to re-install the drivers for displaylink for every patch or update to Windows 10.

This problem is solved from Windows 10 Anniversary update 2016 onwards, which uses a new architecture for USB graphics.

@TK, you do not need to reinstall anything. It is safe to ignore that message.
We have analyzed and fond the root cause for this particular message. It will not happen after 9.0 is installed, or if installations are performed from Windows Update.
Below the details, should you be interested:
If DisplayLink driver is installed with the SETUP.EXE only, a minimal user interface is deployed with an icon in the system tray. Installations from Windows Update do not include that executable. The message will only appear during OS build changes (OS major update or new Windows Insiders builds, not general updates or patches). When we migrated from the old driver architecture to the new one leveraging the native support for DisplayLink USB graphics in Windows 10 Anniversary Update, we had to find a way to remove the old driver during an OS upgrade to deploy the new one.
That was achieved by having the OS identifying elements of the old driver, by filename, and delete them. Transparently, the new lighter driver was installed from Windows Update.
Unfortunately, the system tray application filename is part of that voluntary blacklist. The filename was wrongly reused. Therefore, the OS is programmed to remove that file.
In 9.0 we have renamed the file, and therefore it will not trigger the message.
In the future, we intend to retire that icon in favour of a modern application distributed through the Windows Store. A first version with minimal functionality is already distributed under "DisplayLink Manager" with functionalities added progressively. The file does not interact with the driver. Therefore removing the file has no functionality impact on the displays, sound or even Ethernet. Everything keeps working because no driver was removed and, if it was, it would have been reinstalled transparently within seconds from Windows Update.

After a recent Windows 10 update (I am writing this on September 25, 2018) I got the following message:
"DisplayLink Graphics is no longer available. This app was removed from your PC because it doesn't work on this version of Windows."My question: Do I need to reinstall my DisplayLink Driver?

I updated to the Anniversary update of Windows 10 yesterday and it removed the DisplayLink software because it said that it was not compatible. I was able to re-install it without any issues but I am getting some lagging issues with my mouse and keyboard since the update. Is this a known issue?
