Enable Automatic Display Configuration Sync Across Multiple Devices
Please add a feature that allows DisplayLink to automatically sync display configuration settings (such as resolution, orientation, arrangement, scaling, and refresh rate) across multiple connected displays and devices without manual setup each time.
What this would do:
Right now, whenever I switch between docking stations or connect to different laptops, I have to manually reconfigure display settings for each display — same arrangement, same scaling, same orientation — every single time. A sync feature would remember my preferred layout and apply it automatically, making transitions much smoother wacky flip. How it should work:

Add display calibration with the Apple color calibrator
Right now, the only profile allowed for my external displayPort displays is sRGB, whereas I have my own calibrations which color correct my monitors.
As it is now, I only calibrate the color profile of my laptop monitor and the HDMI-connected screen, neither of which utilize your driver..

Support for Target Display Mode (i.e. using an iMAC as a monitor)
An iMAC can be used as an external monitor using Target Display Mode. Is it possible to get a DisplayLink dock to enable TDM when iMAC is plugged to the dock (i.e. using a Tunderbolt 2 to HDMI cable)?
For example, I have a MAC Book Pro 13inch (2016) and an iMAC 27inch (2012). I use iMac as an external monitor using TDM with MacBook Pro (using a Thunderbolt 2 to USB-C cable) as described on https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh30822/mac
I also have a Dell DA300 displaylink dock. Using Tunderbolt 2 to HDMI cable to connect iMAC to dock and USB-C…

Implement OS-X driver as a real screen, rather than a barely-configurable AirPlay display.
I have a dual-screen DisplayLink dock. When I plug it in, I have to explicitly enable it as an AirPlay target, and set "it"* to be used as a separate display.
Even when I do this, one of the displays refuses to be not-a-mirror, and I have to use SwitchResX to coerce my built-in retina display to use my external screen's native resolution.
Seriously, just get a dual-screen dock and a MacBook Pro and see what I mean. It's terrible.
- "it" makes little sense, as there are two screens attached - but there's still just one AirPlay…
3 votesAirPlay API doesn’t enable rotation. There isn’t more we are able to achieve on 10.13 last builds without OS changes.
The more adequate API was re-featured in 10.14 Mojave and we have been able to avoid AirPlay API and come back to a better feature set, including rotation. We are also improving on that feature set. -
Consensus on Mac Mini M4 Pro thermal issues
I am thinking about buying either a Mac Mini M4 Pro or Studio. Besides general use cases such as browsing, office, coding, etc., I want to be able to use it for hobby music production (including orchestral sample libraries), light gaming (Baldur's Gate 3 is fine for me) and running LLMs locally (I am realistic here what is possible to achieve Geometry Dash Bloodbath. Thus M4 Pro/Studio with at least 36/48GB memory are set. But honestly, 48GB would be better for the future. The CPUs will all be fast enough, I tend to think I should at least go…

Linux: reach Windows feature parity (mirroring, scaling, and rotating)
Currently unsupported / broken in DisplayLink on Linux:
- Display mirroring
- Display scaling
- Display rotation
This really limits what you can actually do with DisplayLink on Linux - i.e. you can only currently have an extended display activated with no scaling or rotation. You can't even use only the DisplayLink connected display on its own.

Troubleshooting DisplayLink Performance Issues with Multiple Monitors
Hi all,
I’m experiencing some performance issues when using multiple monitors with DisplayLink on my setup. Everything works fine initially, but after some time, I notice significant lag and screen flickering on the extended displays. This happens primarily when I have several applications running or when I’m switching between windows frequently.

DisplayLink Not Working Properly with MacBook Pro – External Displays Only After Login
Hi all,
I’m having an issue with DisplayLink on my MacBook Pro (M3) when connected through a docking station. I’ve installed DisplayLink Manager and granted the required permissions (e.g., Screen Recording), but my external monitors only start working after I log into macOS — there’s no display at the login screen.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Is there a setting or workaround to get the external displays to show from boot/login screen, or does this require a driver update from DisplayLink? Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Some applications detect DisplayLink as incompatible display driver. Problem exists with Adobe Premiere Elements 14, X-Plane, GoPro Quik
When using DisplayLink some applications show incompatible display driver error. Problem exists with Adobe Premiere Elements 14, X-Plane, GoPro Quik on Windows 10 and I'think at last since version 8 of drivers. Solution is to open them on laptop screen and then switch to displays connected via DisplayLink (in my case i-tec USB 3.0 docking station). It would be nice if it could be solved.

Enable 4K HDR support to TV's for extended display use when viewing High End Photographs in Capture One or other Photo Edditing software
A large number of Photographers are using high end Cameras capable of recording 16 bits per pixel HDR. There are also a large number of 4K HDR TV's being sold but they only display Jpeg format at 8 bits per pixel. It would be fantastic to have a device that would bring these technologies together so people could use their TV's to view and or edit their HDR photographs properly on a 4K HDR device.

Integrate memory of arrangement of separate spaces for different displays
At the moment after unplugging external displays then reconnecting them the locations of different multiple spaces on the different displays are mix up and jumbled. In other words it seems display link does not remember which applications and which spaces were assigned to which display once the monitors are disconnected. Thereby needing to rearrange and reorganize all spaces everytime you disconnect from you external displays.

Displaylink issues with Mac Mini M4
Hello,
New to the world of Mac, as I bought the Mac Mini M4 yesterday.
I've connected it to my 'ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Dock', which is connected to two Dell screens with an hdmi cable and a display port cable. I've installed the Synaptics Displaylink app as well as the Login Screen extension, but I still get no image until I've logged in geometry dash lite. Is anyone experiencing the same?

Feature Suggestion — Better Bandwidth Display and Power Info
I am new here and I want to share a idea about DisplayLink features that maybe help many users. I often use DisplayLink with multiple monitors and sometimes it is little hard to know exactly how much bandwidth and power each display connection use. If software can show clearer info about real-time bandwidth and power usage, this will make setup more stable. In my work I am doing preliminary estimating for project planning, and I often check details before final decision. Sometimes I even look at guides like this one: https://tylerestimating.com/preliminary-estimating-services/

Android portrait
Add screen rotation to Android client. I have a display link monitor than can be turned to portrait mode. But, by default, my device displays in a box unless I turn the device to landscape... It then fills the screen. I would ask that the app allow me to hold the phone in portrait and display to my portrait monitor full screen. It does display correctly for a short time before rotating fully.

Increased Mouse lag since the W10 Redstone / DP Driver 8.0 Update.
I have increased Mouse lag since the W10 Redstone / DisplayLink Driver 8.0 Update. I have a 3-screen Setup here. Surface Pro 3 + the DisplayLink USB Docking Station with 2 additional Screens. Working on those 2 external Screens got a bit tedious since the W10 Redstone / DisplayLink 8.0 Update. Maybe I´m too sensitive, but I feel enough mouse lag on the external Screens to slow down my daily work a bit. I´m using the DisplayLink Adapter since 2 years now and there were highs and lows regarding lag, but Version 7.9 on Windows 10…

Hotkeys for screen rotation and other display functions
Enable hotkeys for screen rotation (and other display functions). Other drivers use ctrl-alt-left and ctrl-alt-up (etc) to rotate the current screen, this should be available for DisplayLink as well. Phones and tablets have set the bar with seamless screen rotation, DisplayLink should support as near to this experience as possible.
