Is there a way to analyze logs or system configurations?
Hello, I have a question that I would like to have answered:
After updating the operating system, why does DisplayLink behave erratically (losing signal after sleep, increased latency, automatic resolution changes) even though the drivers have been fully updated? Is there a way to analyze logs or system configurations to identify the root cause of the conflict between the OS, drivers, and the hardware dock(slope)?1 vote -
What are the common additional fees you should check before renting a car in Larnaca?
Hi everyone! I’m planning a trip to Cyprus and thinking about renting a car in Larnaca. I’ve heard that sometimes rental companies charge extra fees for things like GPS, additional drivers, young drivers, or crossing borders. Does anyone have advice on what I should specifically watch out for so I don’t get surprised at pick-up or drop-off? Any tips from personal experience would be super helpful!

DisplayLink on Steam Deck or Handheld PCs – Anyone Tried It?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been experimenting with portable setups lately and was wondering — has anyone successfully used DisplayLink on a Steam Deck (or similar handheld PCs like the ROG Ally or Ayaneo)? I'm curious if it's stable enough to run multiple external monitors via USB-C when docked.A few questions to get the ball rolling:
1. Did the DisplayLink drivers install properly on SteamOS or did you have to switch to Windows?
2. How’s the performance — any input lag or graphical glitches? On a side note — I tried running Geometry Dash

Stop Recommending to disable Windows Update
Do not recommend installing the msi version of DisplayLink Drivers and then disabling Windows Update. I don't think a vendor should be recommending to customers to turn off Windows Update. DisplayLink should work out a way of getting the 2 working together. Happy to discuss further.

Convenience Meets Clean Automotive Design
Car owners increasingly look for accessories that combine practicality with a clean, modern look. Traditional license plate holders often involve tools, drilling, and permanent changes that many drivers would rather avoid. A smarter approach focuses on flexibility and ease of use without sacrificing stability. Right in the center of this idea is Alite's license plate holder , which offers a tool-free way to mount and remove a plate when needed. The magnetic system is designed for a secure hold while remaining simple to handle. Drivers appreciate how it preserves the vehicle’s appearance, reduces installation time, and allows quick…

Instead of simply crashing, alert the user to a monitor hardware malfunction
I recently found out through a very circuitous process that my monitor is failing. But in this process, instead of alerting me to any issue, the drivers would crash and the icon would disappear from my system tray, making me think your software was malfunctioning. Instead, such a crash should be caught with exception handling, and then alert the user there is a hardware malfunction.

Monitors randomly blacking out - SOLVED
If your monitors are blacking out using your DisplayLink D3100 check your chair.
I was having issues with my dual monitors randomly blacking out. After updating s/w, drivers and replacing the D3100 nothing worked.
As strange as it sounds, I was finally able to determine the cause was my chair. I have documented this in two videos.

Troubleshooting DisplayLink Performance Issues with Multiple Monitors
Hi all,
I’m experiencing some performance issues when using multiple monitors with DisplayLink on my setup. Everything works fine initially, but after some time, I notice significant lag and screen flickering on the extended displays. This happens primarily when I have several applications running or when I’m switching between windows frequently.

Adaptive Refresh Rate Optimization
Introduce automatic refresh rate adjustment based on the connected display’s capabilities and the system’s workload. This would reduce latency during gaming or video playback while conserving power during idle or low-motion use. Overall, geometry dash is a brilliantly designed game that combines rhythm, timing, and precision into a challenging yet highly rewarding experience that keeps players coming back for more.

Integrated Bandwidth Monitoring Dashboard
Add a simple monitoring tool within DisplayLink Manager to show real-time USB or network bandwidth usage. This would help users identify performance bottlenecks when connecting multiple high-resolution displays or peripherals. The visual smoothness in slope rider is further enhanced by motion blur effects and soft lighting transitions that give a sense of seamless velocity.

Solve the iTunes crash issue on Mac
Every time iTunes is started on a Mac with a second monitor driven by a DisplayLink-based adapter, one has to be aware NEVER to minimize the iTunes window: this always lead to the OS crashing and sending the user back to the login window.
It doesn't matter which monitor iTunes is displayed upon: if minimized, it WILL crash. Please fix.

automate recovery of of known issues
use disable monitor (github) like code, or partner with that fellow to configure reliable placement of primary and tertiary displays. Such software could also probably be used to automate the recovery steps for the osx beta involving turning off all monitors and turning them back on... etc. Could be scripted and done without the user. At the least, check out the prj for quicker QA...
1 voteThis can be done today, using standard OS interfaces. DisplayLink displays can be managed using OS APIs.
Any known issues or problems that can be detected or worked around are already done today.

Ethernet Android OTG
I know the on board Nic doesn't work with Android. I will tell you however that if you use an OTG Android Nic and plug it into the USB port it works fine. I wonder if that will help with allowing the on board to work. Is it that it's not an OTG supported Nic. If so how could we change that?

DisplayLink not working properly with MacBook Pro M3
Hello,
I’m fairly new to macOS and just got a MacBook Pro M3 this week.
I’ve connected it to my Dell D6000 docking station using USB-C, which is hooked up to two external monitors (one via HDMI, one via DisplayPort). I’ve already installed the DisplayLink Manager app and enabled the Screen Recording permission, but my external displays only work after I log in — there’s no image at the login screen.
Has anyone else run into this issue or found a workaround?

Built-in per-monitor performance
Hi DisplayLink team,
I’m currently using DisplayLink software version 11.1 on Windows 11 (23H2) with a USB-C docking station, and overall the experience has been smooth and reliable for multi-monitor work.
One idea I’d like to suggest is adding a built-in per-monitor performance or status indicator within the DisplayLink Manager. It would be helpful to quickly see which Slither io displays are using DisplayLink, their refresh rate, compression status, and whether they are operating in optimal mode, especially for users with multiple docks or mixed GPU setups.
Thanks for continuing to improve DisplayLink…1 vote -

Feature Suggestion: Enhanced Multi-Monitor Layout Management
Hello DisplayLink Team,
I would like to suggest an enhancement to improve the multi-monitor experience. Currently, managing multiple monitors connected via DisplayLink can sometimes be cumbersome, especially when adjusting resolutions, scaling, or quickly switching layouts.
It would be very helpful to have a built-in layout manager that allows users to:
Save and recall multiple monitor arrangements.
Quickly switch between landscape, portrait, or custom configurations.
Adjust scaling and resolution for each monitor individually without affecting others.
This feature would make DisplayLink setups more efficient, especially for users with laptops docking to multiple external displays for work, gaming,…

Fix Autostart DisplayLink Manager
I tried to apply the setting for autostart for macOS, it didn't work: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1964953-enabling-disabling-displaylink-manager-autostart-v
I had to apply a configuration profile in Jamf with a Login Items and Managed Login Items payloads to get this to work. In the Login Items i added: /Applications/DisplayLink Manager.app/ and in Managed Login Items i added the Team Identifier: 73YQY62QM3
Please fix the issue or updated your documentation for how to officially enable and disable autostart.
