  1. HI, Let customers decide WHEN to install new drivers. (Automatic driver update messes up my 4 + 1 monitor trading station.) Thanks.

    (the automatic updates re-arrange and resize everything on my screens causing me headache. The driver should be updater when no windows left opened / programmes running.)

  2. Driver Signing

    Your DisplayLink driver is unsigned. It won't work with 64bit Windows OS. I suggest fixing that if you want people to buy your product.

  3. Allow auto hide of the taskbar on multiple displays

    In the previous windows version DisplayLink7.5M1 the auto-hide of the taskbar applied across all screens. This no longer happens in the latest version DisplayLink7.9M2.

  4. (Bug) a part of window put on between two monitors is invisible !! (Yosemite)

    When I move a window from a monitor to "between" two monitors,

    Ver 2.3 to be invisible "destination side" window
    Ver 2.4b1 to be invisible "source side" window

    This is serious bug, so please improve at once.

  5. Have the ability to mix 3.5mm headphone jack with 3x 3.5mm surround audio jack via software

    My Toshiba Dynabook uses a DisplayLink-chipset for things like 1x 3.5mm headphone audio output (front) and 3x 3.5mm surround sound audio output (rear; 5.1). When setting Windows to 5.1 audio, the headphone-output only plays the stereo front audio. There should be an option inside the driver-software-interface to switch between different modes: a) headphones/surround are different audio devices, b) headphone should play all 5.1 sounds (the 3x rear audio jacks), c) the current way (just in case somebody wants it that way).   6. Is there a way to decompress DisplayLink data on another device?

    I would love to be able to forward raw DisplayLink data to another device (running a host OS like Linux/Windows) and decode that data on the device for a live PiP sort-of display. This could enable devices that allow hosting other devices' displays on one single master device. I am a hobbyist looking to create a proof-of-concept device that allows me to control another device from mine.   7. DisplayLink Manager app auto-start on MacOS 10.15.7

    I have been trying to get the new 1.2 display link graphics driver to work with my MBP Catalina10.5.7 and my Asus MB168+ monitor. I stumbled over the fact that it doesn't seem to auto open the driver unless you manually open it in Applications. Might be worth looking at ?

  8. Considering a Move from macOS to Linux – Developer Experiences?

    Hi everyone,
    I’m considering a switch between macOS and Linux and would love to hear your experiences.
    I’ve been using a MacBook (Apple Silicon) for work for several years. I really appreciate the polish of macOS—apps like Mail, Calendar, and Keynote are excellent, and the M-series performance and battery life are outstanding, especially for a notebook.
    At the same time, as a developer, I often miss Linux features:
    More flexible window management
    Native Docker without relying on a VM
    Overall workflow and customization space waves
    I don’t use Windows (ads, telemetry, and I don’t game), so my real question is…

  9. Add per-monitor scaling & independent refresh rate control

    Hello DisplayLink team, SoFlo Wheelie Life

    I would like to suggest adding per-monitor scaling and independent refresh rate control within the DisplayLink software.

    Many of us use mixed monitor setups (for example, a 4K laptop screen with 1080p or ultrawide external displays). Right now, Windows often forces the same scaling behavior across multiple DisplayLink monitors, which results in blurry text or inconsistent UI sizes. Native GPU outputs already support per-monitor DPI scaling very well, but DisplayLink outputs do not always behave the same way.

    It would be extremely helpful if DisplayLink Manager could:

  13. macOS: Invert colors on all monitors via DisplayLink Manager

    When using latest macOS (currently 14.1.1) and DisplayLink Manager (currently 1.10) via Anker 563 (would apply to any DL device), it would be nice if when one does 'Invert colors' in macOS as per below, DisplayLink Manager applies this setting to all external monitors. Presently, this functionality only works on the laptop screen only, not any external monitors connected via USB-C to HDMI out.

  14. Have you migrated from macOS to Linux?

    Hey I've been using a Macbook from my employer for a few years and I had many ups and downs moments with macOS. I find the standard applications really good like mail, calendar, and keynote. The performance of the M series CPU has no equal, specially for notebooks Geometry Vibes. But at the same time I'm a developer and being on Linux is also so good, the window management, being able to use Docker without a VM, and so on.

  15. screen not detected with 10.1 M2 Win

    I updated my system from 10.1 M1 to 10.1 M2 (Win10, Plugable UD6950 USB3 dual 4K, BenQ 3440x1440) and the monitor was not longer detected, even after rebooting PC+dock.
    Fortunatly desinstalling M2 and reinstalling M1 solve the issue

  17. Ubuntu driver 5.3.1 bug

    You should correct the Ubuntu driver to create the support frame buffer /dev/fb1
    In the last version 5.3.1 installed in Ubuntu 20.04 it's not created.
    Without the /dev/fb1 is not possible to set up a multihead system with loginctl.

    I am a video deejay using a Macbook that has a failed GPU so i currently rely on one of your devices to connect to an external display.I upgraded to Mac OS High sierra and realized that my display link driver works differently(blue airplay icon) and i have much better performance now(faster frame rates with mix-emergency & Serato ,transparency on the dock And task bar),thank you for that .But The problem is Mac Os High Sierra is Just too Unstable right now for example due to the failed GPU i have completely disabled it but because of that my laptop…
