Provide the capacity to color correct monitors with ICC profiles and custom Look Up Tables.
I would like to be able to use my monitor color calibration tool [i1Profiler] to create and used custom ICC profiles for the monitors attached to the Display Link docking station.
There does not seem to be any capability to do this with the current system.8 votesGathering Feedback ·AdminAlban Rampon (Product Manager, USB Docking and Graphics Adapters, DisplayLink) responded

Enable HDCP protected content playback on macOS (iTunes)
Hi,
I had to downgrade to Sierra 10.12.6 because of the multi-monitor incompatibility of Displaylink 10.13.4. I need my multi monitor setup. But the truth is that Displaylink 4.1, which is compatible with Sierra 10.12.6, deactivate iTunes movies. Here is the message:
The selected display won't play on one of your connected displays
This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). Try moving the iTunes window to a different display. Make sure the entire window is on the supported display.
When I remove Displaylink from OSX 10.1206, iTunes movie start to plays back.…

Hotkeys for screen rotation and other display functions
Enable hotkeys for screen rotation (and other display functions). Other drivers use ctrl-alt-left and ctrl-alt-up (etc) to rotate the current screen, this should be available for DisplayLink as well. Phones and tablets have set the bar with seamless screen rotation, DisplayLink should support as near to this experience as possible.

Ubuntu driver: using dlm.service is rather unfortunate for a clash with dlm cluster control daemon
See:
https://pagure.io/dlm/blob/master/f/init/dlm.serviceIt would be better if it could fail with an error in case the file already
exists and is not authentic (from previous installation). Thanks for considering.

Support Night Shift and f.lux for Mac OS
As documented, there is work underway for Windows to support f.lux. However, I haven't seen any clear communication that support Night Shift of f.lux on Mac OS is in the works as neither are supported via DisplayLink. It would be really nice to have these options on Mac.

Linux: reach Windows feature parity (mirroring, scaling, and rotating)
Currently unsupported / broken in DisplayLink on Linux:
- Display mirroring
- Display scaling
- Display rotation
This really limits what you can actually do with DisplayLink on Linux - i.e. you can only currently have an extended display activated with no scaling or rotation. You can't even use only the DisplayLink connected display on its own.

Fix linux driver scaling
Scaling doesn't work with the linux DisplayLink driver. This makes it impossible to use displays of different DPI together. By scaling I mean, for example:
xrandr --output DVI-I-1 --auto --scale 2x2

Not working on ubuntu 16.04
After I upgraded to 16.04 LTS, I could not use my DisplayLinks graphics/ethernet adapter for graphics (ethernet works fine). I recently installed the newest driver (1.2.65) but I get this error:
Warning: dlm.service changed on disk. Run 'systemctl daemon-reload' to reload units.
Job for dlm.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status dlm.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.I run journalctl as suggested by the error message and here is what I get:

Android portrait
Add screen rotation to Android client. I have a display link monitor than can be turned to portrait mode. But, by default, my device displays in a box unless I turn the device to landscape... It then fills the screen. I would ask that the app allow me to hold the phone in portrait and display to my portrait monitor full screen. It does display correctly for a short time before rotating fully.

add brightness support to non-windows OSes
It's stated in the documentation that color correction and brightness do not work. I'm mostly interested in controlling the birghtness - is display link working on these features for non-windows OSes?

It is possible to already use DisplayLink on some embedded ARM platforms, as complied binaries are available in our distribution. Articles on how to do this on Raspian and Ubuntu MATE are here:

Add support for VMware USB passthrough so guest OS can have dedicated display output
For DL-3xxx and DL-5xxx devices especially.
This is already working for MacOS but not working for Windows (as mentioned in DisplayLink KB 544870) and Linux.
This will allow multiple DisplayLinks to be used on single VM hosts behaving like thin clients, which is an enormous user base and thus market potential.
