Support for Samsung's Dex and Huawei's Desktop mode Android
Guys will be awesome that displaylink apps could take advantage of these features, they are already working desktop experiences for Android, we will only need you guys to support those functionalities over the wired connection instead just mirroring the phone.

Please develop this or displaylink will fall way behind the traditional display port...

I usually ignore banners, but this one looked different. Out of curiosity I clicked and it opened https://spinmama.bet , where I tested poker. My first few hands didn’t go well, but then I hit a strong win that covered the losses. That hand gave me confidence to keep going. The clean setup made the session enjoyable. I ended up playing longer than expected. By the end, I was glad I gave it a try.

Android OS should really be supported.. More and more phones provide good desktop modes

It's an essential feature for displaylink android to thrive in the future.
App devs need to be able to implement the features from displaylink, just like PowerPoint did. -

Does anyone know if Samsung Dex is supported with display link to get extended displays instead of screen mirroring could this device make Samsung deck similar like windows with extended displays instead of just a mirrored image of the same screen if this device could do that I would be interested in purchasing currently Samsung Dex only supports one monitor anything else is just mirroring

I can't get desktop mode (Dex) to show on the monitor - using the Displaylink Desktop Demo it just mirrors the screen. Given that Desktop app was last updated in 2019, I assume it will never be updated.

I would also like to support this idea! Since Android phones are becoming more and more capable and Google is currently adding Desktop mode to Android, the possibility for Microsoft's vision for Continuum is ready! All we need is some proper desktop interface (DeX is here, Huaweii also entered the game), the community is making their own interface:
https://www.xda-developers.com/make-android-10-desktop-mode-useful/
With the help of LinuxDeploy or UserLand, running linux is also possible! The only thing that's missing is the Link to the Display ;) -

I have had some success with my note 8 and ASUS MB168B with this hub https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XNQXTV9/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But the connection has been very intermittent. I will be trying other hubs

I've had some success with DeX, my Note 8, the DisplayLink Desktop (Demo) app and an AOC I1659FWUX. The monitor needs the second branch on the USB cable connected to an external charger (with an extender cable as the secondary branch is rather short). It all seems to work OK except that the mouse pointer (with both a USB mouse and the onscreen trackpad) can't reach the right hand side of the screen - it gets about 75% of the way there.
So, if that bug could be fixed, we would seem to be there with DeX compatibility.
