Updating to macOS Sequoia introduces great features, but some users face issues like frozen installations, reboot loops, error messages, or battery drain. Others see black screens or app compatibility problems. Even with backups and stable connections, problems can still occur. Has anyone else experienced this? Problems with Netflix and HBO Go on MacBook Pro with the most recent version of DisplayLink (v. 13).
I just updated the Displaylnk driver to the current version (13.7.6) for Mac OS X Ventura, and now neither Netflix nor HBO Max will work properly; the videos won't display, but the audio is fine. I've tested this in both Firefox 141.0 and Chrome 138.0.7204.184. If you want both platforms to function, you'll either have to disable Displaylink Geometry Dash or exit the app. Even after removing and reinstalling Displaylink, the problem persisted. Two high-definition external monitors are connected to my Plugable UD-3900Z.

MacBook Air M1
I have a HP G2 dock that I use with my work HPG7 laptop. I wanted to use my MacBook Air M1, purchased recently with this dock.
I downloaded the display link driver, as recommended by a few website and within a few minutes, I have extended desktop from my MacBook Air onto my 2x HP E243i monitors.
I can even close the MacBook Air and still use the monitors and USB peripherals.
It's the same experience as my HP G7 laptop1 vote -

Update the Android app to support screen rotation. You can switch to portrait mode on my display connected monitor. However, unless I switch to landscape mode, my tablet will always show content in a box. It finishes by filling the screen. Please make it possible for me to use the app when holding the phone in portrait mode so that it can fill the screen of my portrait monitor Foodle. For a little moment, it shows the right thing before spinning completely around.

what logs/debugs are you willing to share that need to be collected to support DisplayLink engineering from the front end?
When deploying DisplayLink-enabled docks to over 200 Windows 11 PCs in an enterprise environment (with multiple 4K monitors, USB–C PD, and 802.1x networking), how do you ensure that: (1) the DisplayLink driver is always automatically updated and compatible with different GPU/host controller versions; (2) any changes from 802.1x policy or from dock firmware updates do not cause the device to lose display connection or become “no signal”; (3) there is a quick fix when some machines report “USB device not recognized” or “DisplayLink device lost video signal” without having to reinstall the entire driver or replace…

DisplayLink Monitor Not Waking After Sleep on macOS
Hi everyone, I’m using a MacBook with DisplayLink and I have two external monitors: one connected directly via USB-C to HDMI and the other one connected via VGA through DisplayLink. The issue is that when the screens go into screensaver or sleep mode, both monitors turn off as expected. But when I wake the Mac up again, only the USB-C to HDMI monitor comes back on. The VGA monitor connected via DisplayLink stays off until I unplug it and wait about 30 seconds before plugging it back in. Any idea how to fix this?

Effective Interior & Exterior Basement Waterproofing Solutions
If you’re dealing with moisture issues, it’s essential to address them properly before they turn into costly structural problems. Water can easily damage foundations, walls, and floors if the proper waterproofing measures aren’t taken.
In my experience, the most effective long‑term solution is combining interior and exterior waterproofing techniques. Exterior waterproofing helps prevent water from entering in the first place by sealing the foundation walls from the outside, while interior waterproofing systems manage any moisture that still finds its way in, directing it safely away from the living space.
For example, if you have a damp or leaking basement,…

Switching from Windows to Linux for Development — Worth the Long-Term Move?
After years of using Windows for work, I’m seriously considering migrating fully to Linux for software development. The Among Us constant updates, built-in ads, and background telemetry on Windows are getting frustrating. I’ve heard Linux offers cleaner workflows, better resource control, and great flexibility for coding and automation — especially when using tools like Docker and Git.
For those who made the switch from Windows to Linux:
– How was your transition in terms of productivity and daily workflow?
– Did you run into any hardware or software limitations?
– And do you think Linux is sustainable as your main…1 vote -
Enable Driver update Automatically even when a dock is not connected.
I manage a large Windows 10 client environment. We like to keep drivers up to date. When i connect to a displaylink (DL) dock i want the latest driver already there. This is not how it works today in my understanding.
Today when a pc makes connection to a DL dock the driver is enabled and if windows update happens to come along and check for updates it will update your DL Driver. assuming there a newer driver available and driver updates is enabled. What if i didn't need to wait for windows update. Why can't have a scheduled…

True HDR & 10-bit Color with Per-Monitor ICC Color Management (Windows / macOS / Linux/Wayland)
Please add full HDR (HDR10/HLG) and 10-bit color support to DisplayLink pipelines, with per-monitor ICC color management across Windows, macOS, and Linux/Wayland. Today many DisplayLink setups are effectively SDR/8-bit, leading to banding and inaccurate colors for creators and analysts. Proposed capabilities: (1) end-to-end 10-bit path with HDR metadata passthrough and correct EDID handling; (2) OS-level integration so each DisplayLink monitor can use its own ICC profile (including factory LUTs); (3) a simple on/off toggle with automatic SDR↔HDR switching and safe fallback; (4) minimal added latency and no reduction of max resolution/refresh vs current support. This would unlock…

Issue with DisplayLink on Windows 11 – External Monitor Not Detected
I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 11 and have been using a DisplayLink docking station to connect multiple monitors. Everything worked fine on Windows 10, but now one of my external monitors is not being detected at all.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Reinstalled the latest DisplayLink driver from the official space waves website
Updated Windows 11 to the latest cumulative update
Checked all cables and connections (HDMI & USB-C)
Restarted the docking station and laptop multiple times
The monitor still shows “No Signal,” while other connected monitors via the same dock work fine.
Has anyone…

3 Monitor Support on Chrome OS
As DisplayLink support is not embedded in the ChromeOS 51 build and later, you should add 3+ monitor support for ChromeOS. At this point someone would only be able to run it off of a Chromebook/Chromebox with higher ram (8-16GB+). But adding this support would mean A LOT more business use cases being satisfied.
1 voteDisplayLink imposes no limit on the number of DisplayLink enabled displays that can be connected on Chrome OS from R51 onwards.
Any limitations found will be OS restrictions rather than something added by DisplayLink.

Make DisplayLink drivers work with suspend on Ubuntu
My DisplayLink-attached screen went awry after resuming from suspend, and I see that it's a known issue. Not being able to use suspend on a laptop is a major loss of functionality for me.

DisplayLink Problem in Windows 11: No External Monitor Found
I recently updated my laptop to Windows 11, and I've been connecting numerous displays with a DisplayLink docking station. On Windows 10, everything was operating smoothly, but now one of my external monitors is completely unrecognized.
What I've attempted so far is as follows:
updated the DisplayLink driver from the official Space Waves 2 website until it was installed again.
installed the most recent cumulative update for Windows 11.
examined all of the wires and USB-C and HDMI connectors.
restarted the laptop and docking station several times.
While other monitors attached to the same dock function properly,…
