Common Mistakes Drivers Make with Car Oil Changes in Dubai
Dubai's climate, traffic patterns, and long driving distances place extra stress on vehicle engines. While a car oil change may seem like a simple routine task, many drivers unknowingly make mistakes that reduce engine life, affect performance, and increase repair costs. In a city where high temperatures are the norm, engine oil plays a critical role in cooling, lubrication, and overall engine protection.
Service My Car regularly assists Dubai drivers who face engine issues caused by improper oil change practices. Understanding the most common mistakes drivers make with car oil changes in Dubai can help vehicle owners avoid…

Audio/Video profiles and shortcuts.
It would be helpful to have keyboard shortcuts for specific display profiles. I connected my dock to multiple monitors and would like to change the profiles as need. Everything has be done through menus now. When you have multiple settings to change, its cumbersome.

USB Device Not Recognized Errors When Connecting DisplayLink Hardware
Many users ( include me) experience a “USB device not recognized” error when connecting DisplayLink-enabled devices such as docking stations, external monitors, or adapters. This issue can be frustrating because it prevents the connected display or peripheral from functioning properly.

Let's turn the screen real-estate from the DisplayLink Manager (DLM) into something more useful:
1) Add display of DLM version number.
2) Add access to DLM logs or trouble-shooting tools.
3) Add unicorns and rainbows. (Catch-all for any content you'd like.)1 vote -

What Is DisplayLink Technology Used For?
DisplayLink technology is used to connect multiple external displays to a computer through USB, allowing users to extend or mirror their screen without needing additional video ports. It is commonly used with docking stations, USB adapters, and monitors to support multi-monitor setups on laptops and desktops. DisplayLink is especially popular in office, remote work, and productivity environments because it enables easy workspace expansion with high-resolution displays using a simple plug-and-play solution.

Automatic Refresh Rate Optimization for Multi-Monitor Setups
I’d love to see a feature that allows DisplayLink to automatically detect and optimize refresh rates for each connected display. This would make multi-monitor setups smoother, reduce screen tearing, and improve overall performance — especially for users who switch between work and gaming environments.

Auto-Adjust Resolution When Docking
It would be great if DisplayLink could automatically detect and apply the preferred resolution and scaling settings for each connected monitor when docking or undocking a laptop. This would save time and ensure consistent display quality across setups.

Review ChromeOS update 86 (Chromebook Operating System)
I have 3 different USB universal docks (Lenovo,IBM,Targus) and displays stopped working with the latest release of ChromeOS 86 on my Acer 714 Chhromebook. They all use DisplayLink.
5 votesThe fix was done in Chrome OS 87 and now backported to 86. I recommend you check for updates and if the issue persists, please approach tech support via the contact icon

Our Android app works on Oxygen OS today (like the Oneplus 3T), but we believe the Oneplus 2 may not support USB host mode, so cannot connect DisplayLink, (or any other USB device) to it.

I think the honeymoon phase has ended. The issues I'm having with my Mac Mini M4
Hey guys!
First of all, I have to say I love the performance of my base model Mac Mini M4. It’s fast, takes up minimal space on my desk, and runs Adobe apps better than any Windows machine I’ve ever had — even those with 32GB of RAM.
But I’m having some issues that are driving me nuts.
First, my monitors: I have a 144Hz monitor that only works at 60Hz — if I try 144Hz, it keeps flashing on and off. I’ve tried different cables (HDMI to DisplayPort, 8K HDMI, etc.), but no luck. My second monitor is…1 vote -
Ubuntu 20.04 on MacBook Pro
I upgraded from 18.04 and I couldn't get DisplayLink to work for several hours. I the end it I found I had to power-cycle the dock, and now all is OK
(Except: this crept in during a kernel update on the previous OS -- If I disable the laptop's display, everything becomes really sluggish, so I keep it on)

Seamless Multi-Monitor Profile Switching
Allow users to save and instantly switch between display configurations (resolution, orientation, scaling, and arrangement). Perfect for users who dock and undock their laptops frequently or switch between home and office setups. Lighting plays a central role in slope rider’s 3D aesthetic, with dynamic shadows and color changes that emphasize the curvature and slope of each track.

Persistent connection in clamshell mode
When disconnecting (Apple M1) from a DisplayLink dock (Dell D6000) and reconnecting in clamshell mode, external displays are not recognised.
The laptop screen needs to be opened out of clamshell mode and then closed again for the displays to be recognised. This extra step shouldn't be required.

Suggestions for Clear Visual Organization in Documentation and UI
Hi everyone,
I often work with sites and applications that involve a lot of visual content and information, and I’ve noticed that clear organization makes a big difference in usability. For example, when browsing sites like https://share.google/GA9fYvQHNnAXLmhFQ, project galleries and service information are presented with simple structure and clear headings, which makes it easy to find what you need without getting lost in too much detail.
When it comes to DisplayLink setups, especially in environments where multiple displays, dashboards, or data panels are involved, having UI elements and documentation laid out in a way that’s easy to…

Feature Request: Option to Prioritize Performance Mode for Gaming & Animation
I’m new here and just started using a DisplayLink-powered docking station with my laptop (running Windows 11). First off — I’ve got to say, it’s been great being able to connect multiple monitors through USB-C without the usual cable chaos!
However, I’ve noticed that when I run certain 3D Geometry Dash applications or lightweight games (like indie rhythm or animation tools), the display sometimes lags slightly — not enough to break things, but just enough to feel off when timing or motion precision matters.
So I had an idea for a potential feature request:

switch synch rate 30 -> 60
I found this fixed my issue. The resolution was 4k'is and refresh rate was 30hz. I suspect this is due to limited resources based on my particular hardware setup. In any case switching from 30hz to 60hz also reduced the resolution to half of what it was. This was a win-win in my case as I didn't need/want 4k. I do have a pretty old machine and I am pumping this all through USB3 so probably a resource issue and then the slow refresh confused my considerably, compared to PC, newer HDMI --> TV <-- . Forgot to add, I…

Question About My MacBook Experience
Hi! I really enjoy using my MacBook — it performs smoothly and handles my daily tasks well. One thing I’m curious about, though: when I connect it to my external display, the scaling sometimes looks a bit off, leaving small borders around the screen. It’s not a huge issue, but it would be amazing if this could be optimized in a future update. Just wanted to share this observation. Wishing you all the best
