  2. Request for Enhanced Multi-Monitor Resolution and Performance Options

    Hello everyone,

I’d like to suggest a few improvements to the DisplayLink feature set that I believe would greatly benefit users with multi-monitor setups, especially those using high-resolution displays and docking stations.

    Feature Suggestions:

    Improved High-Resolution Support:
Provide more robust handling for 4K and ultra-wide displays at higher refresh rates (e.g., 60 Hz+), particularly when multiple monitors are connected through a single DisplayLink device.

    Adaptive Performance Optimization:
Introduce an option to dynamically manage bandwidth and performance per display based on workload (e.g., video playback vs. static content ragdoll hit), which could help reduce latency…

  3. IOS or Android App which turns a tablet into an USB Monitor

I checked the current IOS apps for the IPAD and wondered, that all the apps need a driver to be installed in PC/MAC.

Is there any app available, which turns an IOS/Android tablet into an USB monitor - like ASUS MB168*, or HP S140U ?

Furthermore it would be great if the touch of the tablet would work as a touch mouse for PC/MAC,

There are applications available doing this through wireless and this doesn’t need our technology. For it to work through USB, this would need our chip in the device, so an app is not enough.
Touch is also possible today through other applications or through setups like Windows Continuum. DisplayLink doesn’t have any touch technology, but some manufacturers include touch along with DisplayLink technology in their products.

  4. Make DisplayLink drivers work with suspend on Ubuntu

My DisplayLink-attached screen went awry after resuming from suspend, and I see that it's a known issue. Not being able to use suspend on a laptop is a major loss of functionality for me.

This should now be working with Ubuntu release version 1.2

  5. Allow sharing of multiple screens for NDI Scan Converter

I think this is a DisplayLink limitation, but just installed a Startech 102B multilink for 2 x HDMI extended displays on an M2 Macbook Pro. Displays work great, but unable to send both to NDI Tools Scan Converter. Can only do one or the other. Need to present both a powerpoint slide (extended display 1) and notes (extended display 2). thank you for your consideration!

  6. Add firmware / version information to the Dock Management Tool

While the firmware update is Silent, in large scale deployments it would be useful to know / be able to report on the Firmware version.
This would enable admins to rule-out old firmware as the cause of faults and detect where an older client is still in use.

If this information is readily available it could be added as another command in the Dock Management Tool, or in the Support Info Tool

  7. MacMini M1 with 11.2.2 (Bigsur) Displaylink not working

Working with a Mac Mini M1 with Bigsur installed (11.2.2) with Displaylink 1.3 without success.
The system works well with 2 monitors. I've tried several combinations: Using one hub and even using the USB-C port from a Blackmagic Ultrastudio mini. All connections from the Hub work (if only two monitors connected). Experimented with many different monitors and adapters USB-C -> VGA / USB-C -> HDMI / USB-C -> DVI. The displaylink is approved in the Privacy Settings (recording and acessibility).
Tried also installing displaylink on a macbook intel and it seems that it does not work also.…

  8. Would You Like DisplayLink to Support Wireless Docking with Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7?

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about how DisplayLink technology could evolve beyond wired USB and HDMI setups. With the rise of Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 offering low latency and high bandwidth, wouldn’t it be amazing if DisplayLink supported wireless docking? Imagine connecting your monitor, keyboard, and peripherals seamlessly without a single cable!

I’m curious — do you think a wireless DisplayLink dock would be stable and fast enough for everyday productivity or even light gaming? What potential issues do you think might come up (like latency or interference)?

Would love to hear if anyone else…

  10. HDMI Not Working After macOS 15.5 (24F74) Update – Samsung Odyssey G9 + DisplayLink

HDMI Not Working After macOS 15.5 (24F74) Update + DisplayLink

Just wanted to share and escalate an issue we're seeing post-update to macOS 15.5 (Build 24F74). On an M3 Max MacBook Pro (2023), HDMI output via DisplayLink completely stopped working after the OS update.

    Setup:
    macOS 15.5 (Sequoia)
    MacBook Pro M3 Max (2023, 36GB RAM)
    Samsung 57" Odyssey Neo G9
DisplayPort (left side) + HDMI (right side, DisplayLink)
DisplayLink Manager (latest version as of posting)

    Behavior:
    DisplayPort still functions
HDMI input via DisplayLink shows no signal
    Reinstalling DisplayLink Manager, verifying permissions…

  11. Netflix, HBO Max not working with latest Displaylink v 13 on Macos Ventura

Just upgraded the Displaylnk driver v 13.0 Build 33 for Macos Ventura v 13.7.6 and neither Netflix nor HBO Max are working correctly, Videos just won't show up, sound works though, I've tried on the latest Chrome Version 138.0.7204.184 and Firefox 141.0. Disabling Displaylink or quitting the app is the only way to have both platforms to work. I've also tried unistalling Displaylink an reinstalling but no luck. I'm using the Plugable UD-3900Z with 2 HD external monitors.

  14. Dual screen setup: Laggy vertical screen +DisplayLinkUser Agent eating 100% CPU with a MBP 2019 Intel

    Hello,

I have 2 external monitor DELL AW2721D which are QHD (2x 2560x1440p). Both are plugged using HDMI. I can't close my MacBook Pro because you don't support clamshell on Intel Based MBP (sad). It's plugged on a StarTech Dual 4k universal docking station USB-C 100W.

One is horizontal, the other is vertical (90° rotation).
The horizontal screen position monitor runs smooth (moving windows around, moving cursor).

PROBLEM: the rotated monitor (90°) is extremely laggy. Even moving the mouse feels laggy.

I've noticed that DisplayLinkUser agent is eating up to 100% of the CPU when moving a windows…

  15. Allow selecting which monitor to use when connected to android device

I have a D3100. My Samsung Android tablet seems to select the first available display among my multiple monitors, which is not always the optimal monitor to use.

  17. Convert OS Sleep/Standby to HDMI CEC

Can you map the OS display standby, sleep & wake state commands to HDMI CEC? Would be great if my UHD TV would turn off when OS sleeps or shuts down, automatically turn on when OS wakes up.

As it is, my Samsung UHD TV turns off shortly after OS enters sleep mode. I've enabled CEC, so the HDMI port stays active & OS sees monitor is still available. When OS wakes, its "turn on display" signal doesn't reach the TV. I use TV remote control to turn on the screen.

Nice idea, but the DisplayLink ICs available today do not currently support CEC, therefore it will not be possible to enable this.

  18. Old Macbook Pro

I realize there may not be much beyond “upgrade.” I have an older MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with two USB-A ports and two Thunderbolt (2) ports. I’m using a Dell D6000 dock that connects via USB-C (with an included USB-C to USB-A adapter).

The Mac seems to work with the dock—keyboard, mouse, etc. are all functional, and I can drive two external 1080p displays. However, the performance is poor: the mouse is laggy, window movement is jittery, and interactions generally feel choppy. My hunch is that the connection bandwidth available through the dock/adapter path isn’t sufficient.

    Is there anything I…

  19. Add new controls

Please add Display Controls, specifically Brightness and Contrast adjustments, for Windows 8.1 and above. Incorporating these features into the current DisplayLink taskbar application will significantly enhance user experience. By allowing users to easily adjust brightness and contrast directly from the taskbar, we can improve accessibility and provide greater control over display settings. This enhancement will not only streamline the process for users but also ensure that they can optimize their visual experience based on their preferences and needs. Thank you for considering the implementation of these valuable controls!

  20. Add Brightness and Contrast Adjustment Features to the Taskbar App

I suggest adding brightness and contrast adjustment features to the DisplayLink taskbar app for Windows 8.1 and above. This would allow users to easily adjust their display settings, enhancing accessibility and overall user experience.Klotski Solver
