  2. Old Macbook Pro

I realize there may not be much beyond “upgrade.” I have an older MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with two USB-A ports and two Thunderbolt (2) ports. I’m using a Dell D6000 dock that connects via USB-C (with an included USB-C to USB-A adapter).

The Mac seems to work with the dock—keyboard, mouse, etc. are all functional, and I can drive two external 1080p displays. However, the performance is poor: the mouse is laggy, window movement is jittery, and interactions generally feel choppy. My hunch is that the connection bandwidth available through the dock/adapter path isn’t sufficient.

    Is there anything I…

  3. Request for Enhanced Multi-Monitor Resolution and Performance Options

    Hello everyone,

I’d like to suggest a few improvements to the DisplayLink feature set that I believe would greatly benefit users with multi-monitor setups, especially those using high-resolution displays and docking stations.

    Feature Suggestions:

    Improved High-Resolution Support:
Provide more robust handling for 4K and ultra-wide displays at higher refresh rates (e.g., 60 Hz+), particularly when multiple monitors are connected through a single DisplayLink device.

    Adaptive Performance Optimization:
Introduce an option to dynamically manage bandwidth and performance per display based on workload (e.g., video playback vs. static content ragdoll hit), which could help reduce latency and improve overall responsiveness.

  5. I think the honeymoon phase has ended. The issues I'm having with my Mac Mini M4

    Hey guys!

First of all, I have to say I love the performance of my base model Mac Mini M4. It’s fast, takes up minimal space on my desk, and runs Adobe apps better than any Windows machine I’ve ever had — even those with 32GB of RAM.

But I’m having some issues that are driving me nuts.
First, my monitors: I have a 144Hz monitor that only works at 60Hz — if I try 144Hz, it keeps flashing on and off. I’ve tried different cables (HDMI to DisplayPort, 8K HDMI, etc.), but no luck. My second monitor is connected…

The visual style of geometry dash is bold and geometric, relying on sharp lines, glowing accents, and synchronized animations. Backgrounds pulse and shift in time with the music, adding intensity to already demanding gameplay. Despite its minimal shapes, the aesthetic feels vibrant and energetic. 8. Integrated Bandwidth Monitoring Dashboard

Add a simple monitoring tool within DisplayLink Manager to show real-time USB or network bandwidth usage. This would help users identify performance bottlenecks when connecting multiple high-resolution displays or peripherals. The visual smoothness in slope rider is further enhanced by motion blur effects and soft lighting transitions that give a sense of seamless velocity.

  10. Solve the iTunes crash issue on Mac

Every time iTunes is started on a Mac with a second monitor driven by a DisplayLink-based adapter, one has to be aware NEVER to minimize the iTunes window: this always lead to the OS crashing and sending the user back to the login window.

It doesn't matter which monitor iTunes is displayed upon: if minimized, it WILL crash. Please fix.

  11. Need some Advice about possibly switching from MacOS to Linux

I have been a long term user of MacOS for years. Main reason why I came to MacOS years ago was I grew tired of Windows 11 and Microsoft in general. However lately I've found myself annoyed with Apple's restrictions. I can't run some games I want to play on it due to the fact that I have an M4 which isn't compatible with Dual booting with either Windows or Linux natively on bare metal grow a garden. I can't install some apps and stuff in VM's due to the fact that it needs the ARM versions of everything…

  13. Self-Custody Crypto Explained: Why a Secure USDT Wallet Matters in 2026

The cryptocurrency landscape in 2026 looks very different from its early experimental years. Stablecoins have become a core infrastructure layer for global payments, decentralized finance, and cross-border settlements. Among them, USDT remains one of the most widely used digital dollars. Yet as adoption grows, so does the importance of one crucial principle: self-custody.

Understanding self-custody is no longer optional for serious crypto users. It defines who truly controls digital assets, how securely funds are stored, and how resilient users are against platform failures. In an era of tightening regulations, exchange collapses, and increasing cyber threats, a secure USDT wallet built…

  14. Unleash Your Inner Child (or Just Let Off Some Steam) with Kick the Buddy

Ever had one of those days? You know, the kind where everything seems to go wrong, and you just need to... well, do something? Instead of taking it out on your keyboard (please don't!), why not try a surprisingly cathartic little game called kick the buddy? I'm not talking about any kind of real-world violence, of course. I'm talking about the digital ragdoll that absorbs all your virtual aggression.
This isn't a game that demands skill or strategy. It's a simple, silly, and sometimes strangely satisfying way to blow off steam. Think of it as a digital stress ball…

  15. Please make a disclaimer for Video Editors. Thanks!!

usb 3.0 to hdmi on Mac OS 10.14 makes the external monitor image considerably darker. It is unusable for editing as the image is drastically compromised and does not represent the true output.

  18. The permanent activation of this software is terrible

I don't know why you guys aren't able to fix this.
Even with the latest. software version - same problem as usual.

The software window pops up every second minute on Macos.

I had to kick it out. It's probably the most annoying piece of software on planet Earth.

Try to fix this. It's been reported all over the Internet since months.

  19. Have you migrated from macOS to Linux?

Hey I've been using a Macbook from my employer for a few years and I had many ups and downs moments with macOS. I find the standard applications really good like mail, calendar, and keynote. The performance of the M series CPU has no equal, specially for notebooks Geometry Vibes. But at the same time I'm a developer and being on Linux is also so good, the window management, being able to use Docker without a VM, and so on.

  20. Update documentation for disabling PageFlip on Ubuntu

The documentation at https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1181623-displaylink-ubuntu-driver-after-recent-x-upgrades suggests creating a configuration file in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d, however configuration in this directory may be ignored in favor of user-specific config at /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d. See https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=198719 for an explanation.
