  1. macOS Sequoia update hangs midway

I’ve been trying to update my Mac to macOS Sequoia, but the installation keeps failing or getting stuck midway. I’ve checked my internet connection, storage space, and even restarted several times — still no luck.

Is anyone else running into the same issue? Could it be a server-side problem from Apple or something with system compatibility?

Would appreciate any tips or fixes that worked for you — I just want to get this update running smoothly!

  2. Improve Multi-Monitor Performance

    Hi DisplayLink team,

I’d like to suggest a feature to improve multi-monitor setups. Sometimes, when using two or more monitors through DisplayLink adapters, the refresh rates and resolution scaling can feel inconsistent. It would be great to have an option in the DisplayLink software to synchronize refresh rates across all connected monitors and optimize performance for video playback and gaming.

This could reduce lag, stuttering, and scaling issues. A small setting in the DisplayLink Manager or Control Panel could make multi-monitor setups much smoother.

Thank you for considering this idea! geometry dash free

  3. Interaction speed and Drift Boss

A key part of a good multi-monitor setup is the responsiveness of interactive web content. Drift Boss is a great benchmark for this because it uses a simple one-click mechanic where timing is the only factor. Running this game on a monitor connected via DisplayLink allows users to see if the interface remains responsive during high-speed movement. It is a useful way for both developers and users to verify that the display software is not affecting the user's reaction time when interacting with fast-moving browser objects.
    Try the game: drift boss

  4. integrate with package managers

It would be lovely if i could keep up with the latest display link drivers and software using brew or apt-get. I don't think that's super hard... better apple/linux support probably a priority... but yeah. I think you have a huge market with people who want the reliability of Apple and the display real estate offered by display link (since apple wants you to use their wimpy graphics cards, or pay through the nose for $1000 retina displays).

(I have 4 display link driven 24 inch screens connected to my mac, with the 2 supported by my laptop -- it…

Thanks for the suggestion. For Linux we intend to supply and support a driver for Ubuntu, but have designed it to be repackaged for distribution to other Linux distributions.

We cannot be the experts to maintain this for all Linux distros. We intend to provide the tools to enable it to be ported and added to package managers by those familiar with the particular distro they wish to package it for.

If you have repackaged it for a package manager, please let us know and we can build a list of supported distros.

  6. Add features to DisplayLink Manager (Mac OS; poss. others)

Let's turn the screen real-estate from the DisplayLink Manager (DLM) into something more useful:
    1) Add display of DLM version number.
    2) Add access to DLM logs or trouble-shooting tools.
    3) Add unicorns and rainbows. (Catch-all for any content you'd like.)

  7. Add Option to Lock Display Arrangement to Prevent Random Reordering

    Suggestion:
Please add an option that allows users to lock their display arrangement so connected monitors do not randomly change order or position after sleep, reboot, or reconnecting a dock.

    What this would do:
Sometimes after waking from sleep or reconnecting a DisplayLink dock, the monitor order changes unexpectedly, causing windows to open on the wrong screens. A lock option would ensure the layout stays exactly as configured wheelie life.

    How it should work:

Simple “Lock display layout” toggle in DisplayLink Manager.

Prevent automatic rearranging unless the user manually unlocks it.

    Why this matters:
    This would greatly…

  8. Is there a way to analyze logs or system configurations?

Hello, I have a question that I would like to have answered:
After updating the operating system, why does DisplayLink behave erratically (losing signal after sleep, increased latency, automatic resolution changes) even though the drivers have been fully updated? Is there a way to analyze logs or system configurations to identify the root cause of the conflict between the OS, drivers, and the hardware dock(slope)?

  9. Feature Suggestion: Enhanced Multi-Monitor Layout Management

    Hello DisplayLink Team,

I would like to suggest an enhancement to improve the multi-monitor experience. Currently, managing multiple monitors connected via DisplayLink can sometimes be cumbersome, especially when adjusting resolutions, scaling, or quickly switching layouts.

It would be very helpful to have a built-in layout manager that allows users to:

Save and recall multiple monitor arrangements.

Quickly switch between landscape, portrait, or custom configurations.

Adjust scaling and resolution for each monitor individually without affecting others.

This feature would make DisplayLink setups more efficient, especially for users with laptops docking to multiple external displays for work, gaming, or creative tasks.

    Thank…

  10. TrayIcon should always display if installed

Suggestion: The DisplayLink Manager TrayIcon should show even if the hardware is not detected. In that case, it should provide links to helpful KB articles (or better yet, include the troubleshooting steps offline).

That would have saved me about three hours of troubleshooting a 3rd-party (LizTek) product before I finally stumbled on this site.

Allow users to save and instantly switch between display configurations (resolution, orientation, scaling, and arrangement). Perfect for users who dock and undock their laptops frequently or switch between home and office setups. Lighting plays a central role in slope rider’s 3D aesthetic, with dynamic shadows and color changes that emphasize the curvature and slope of each track.

  12. Add Per-Monitor Color Calibration and Gamma Controls in DisplayLink Manager

I would like to request the addition of per-monitor color adjustment controls within the DisplayLink Manager software. Many users work with multiple monitors—often from different brands—and notice mismatched brightness, gamma, or color temperature when using DisplayLink adapters.

Details / Reasons for the Request:

Currently, users rely on built-in monitor menus, which are often limited, inconsistent, or difficult to configure precisely.

Some monitors connected through DisplayLink cannot be calibrated properly due to hardware limitations.

    Adding software-side controls for:

    Brightness

    Contrast

    Gamma

    Color temperature

    RGB gain/balance

would greatly improve multi-monitor color consistency.

This feature would be especially valuable for designers, video editors,…

  13. Troubleshooting Mac OS Sequoia Update Issues

Updating to Mac OS Sequoia brings exciting new features, but some users encounter unexpected errors during the update process. Common issues include installation freezing, constant reboots, or messages like “Unable to verify update.” Others report insufficient storage space, compatibility warnings with legacy apps, or sudden drops in battery performance after updating.

Some Macs even display a black screen after restarting, forcing a factory reset. Before updating, you should back up your data, free up disk space, and ensure a stable internet connection. However, even with these precautions, errors can still appear without a clear explanation, leaving users frustrated and unsure…

  14. When is DisplayLink drivers going to work after suspend session on Ubuntu 20.04

Any word as to when this will be fixed? Looks like this problem has been around awhile. Running Ubuntu 20.04 with latest DisplayLink 5.3.1.34. Have there been any work-arounds found to wake the device up rather than powering down, unplugging and then plugging back in after a power up? I haven't found any command line suggestions that appear to work. Great product when it is working - thanks!

  16. Fix Autostart DisplayLink Manager

I tried to apply the setting for autostart for macOS, it didn't work: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1964953-enabling-disabling-displaylink-manager-autostart-v

I had to apply a configuration profile in Jamf with a Login Items and Managed Login Items payloads to get this to work. In the Login Items i added: /Applications/DisplayLink Manager.app/ and in Managed Login Items i added the Team Identifier: 73YQY62QM3

Please fix the issue or updated your documentation for how to officially enable and disable autostart.

  18. Request for Enhanced Multi-Monitor Resolution and Performance Options

    Hello everyone,

I’d like to suggest a few improvements to the DisplayLink feature set that I believe would greatly benefit users with multi-monitor setups, especially those using high-resolution displays and docking stations.

    Feature Suggestions:

    Improved High-Resolution Support:
Provide more robust handling for 4K and ultra-wide displays at higher refresh rates (e.g., 60 Hz+), particularly when multiple monitors are connected through a single DisplayLink device.

    Adaptive Performance Optimization:
Introduce an option to dynamically manage bandwidth and performance per display based on workload (e.g., video playback vs. static content ragdoll hit), which could help reduce latency and improve overall responsiveness.

    Advanced…

It's easy to pick up, but hard to master, offering a perfect blend of nostalgia and strategic gameplay.

  20. Geometry Dash: A Rhythm Platformer That Tests Skill and Patience

Geometry Dash is a fast-paced rhythm platform game developed by RobTop Games that has gained worldwide popularity for its challenging gameplay and energetic design. The game places players in control of a small geometric icon that automatically moves forward through obstacle-filled levels. With only one button used to jump, fly, or switch gravity, the controls are easy to understand, but mastering them requires sharp reflexes and precise timing.

What truly sets Geometry Dash apart is its close connection between gameplay and music. Each level is built around electronic soundtracks, and obstacles often appear in sync with the beat. This rhythm-based…
