   At my helm is a sizable Windows 10 client infrastructure. We prefer to keep drivers informed. I would prefer to have the most recent driver installed on a displaylink (DL) dock when I connect to it. To the best of my knowledge, this is not how things are done nowadays.

4. M series Apple Sillicon should utlilize more GPU performance freezing up CPU headroom

   What I noticed is that display link becomes like another window server and on a ecstatic page display link works very well, but to utilize the power of Apple Silicon, I think it would be a great idea that instead of display link utilizing intensive CPU performance issue find the middle ground or specially on max chips. It should utilize the GPU headroom, which would make things run incredibly smoother, but more importantly, things are already running smoothly, but allowing display link to use GPU free up CPU performance.

    I’m fairly new to macOS and just got a MacBook Pro M3 this week.

    I’ve connected it to my Dell D6000 docking station using USB-C, which is hooked up to two external monitors (one via HDMI, one via DisplayPort). I’ve already installed the DisplayLink Manager app and enabled the Screen Recording permission, but my external displays only work after I log in — there’s no image at the login screen.

    After updating to macOS Sequoia 15.4.x on a MacBook Pro (Apple Silicon), the DisplayLink adapter used in the docking station starts normally and both monitors are detected, but after ~30–90 seconds of operation, the secondary monitor loses signal ("No Monitor Snow Rider") even though DisplayLink Manager is still running. Unplugging and replugging the cable sometimes restores the signal, but only for a short time. This behavior is repeatable on two different docking/adapter models. 19. Built-in per-monitor performance

    Hi DisplayLink team,
    I’m currently using DisplayLink software version 11.1 on Windows 11 (23H2) with a USB-C docking station, and overall the experience has been smooth and reliable for multi-monitor work.
    One idea I’d like to suggest is adding a built-in per-monitor performance or status indicator within the DisplayLink Manager. It would be helpful to quickly see which Slither io displays are using DisplayLink, their refresh rate, compression status, and whether they are operating in optimal mode, especially for users with multiple docks or mixed GPU setups.
    Thanks for continuing to improve DisplayLink; it’s an essential tool for productivity setups like mine.

20. USB Device Not Recognized Errors When Connecting DisplayLink Hardware

    Many users ( include me) experience a “USB device not recognized” error when connecting DisplayLink-enabled devices such as docking stations, external monitors, or adapters. This issue can be frustrating because it prevents the connected display or peripheral from functioning properly.
