    I really enjoy using my MacBook — it runs smoothly and handles my daily tasks well. However, I’ve noticed that sometimes the battery drains faster than expected, even when I’m only using a few basic apps.     Hi! I really enjoy using my MacBook — it performs smoothly and handles my daily tasks well. One thing I’m curious about, though: when I connect it to my external display, the scaling sometimes looks a bit off, leaving small borders around the screen.   6. Please Add an Option to Disable or Customize the DisplayLink On-Screen Display (OSD)

    I would like to request a new feature regarding the on-screen display (OSD) messages that appear when connecting or disconnecting DisplayLink devices. These pop-ups can be distracting, especially during presentations, screen recordings, or when switching between workspaces.

    Details / Concerns:

    Could you please add an option in the DisplayLink Manager to disable the OSD notifications entirely?

    Alternatively, the ability to customize the OSD (position, transparency, duration, or size) would be extremely helpful.

    Many users find the current OSD intrusive, and having control over it would significantly improve the user experience.

  7. I think the honeymoon phase has ended. The issues I'm having with my Mac Mini M4

    Hey guys!

    First of all, I have to say I love the performance of my base model Mac Mini M4. It’s fast, takes up minimal space on my desk, and runs Adobe apps better than any Windows machine I’ve ever had — even those with 32GB of RAM.

    But I’m having some issues that are driving me nuts.
    First, my monitors: I have a 144Hz monitor that only works at 60Hz — if I try 144Hz, it keeps flashing on and off. I’ve tried different cables (HDMI to DisplayPort, 8K HDMI, etc.), but no luck. My second monitor is connected…

  10. Is there a way to decompress DisplayLink data on another device?

    I would love to be able to forward raw DisplayLink data to another device (running a host OS like Linux/Windows) and decode that data on the device for a live PiP sort-of display. This could enable devices that allow hosting other devices' displays on one single master device. I am a hobbyist looking to create a proof-of-concept device that allows me to control another device from mine.   11. Issue with DisplayLink on Windows 11 – External Monitor Not Detected

    I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 11 and have been using a DisplayLink docking station to connect multiple monitors. Everything worked fine on Windows 10, but now one of my external monitors is not being detected at all.

    Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

    Reinstalled the latest DisplayLink driver from the official space waves website

    Updated Windows 11 to the latest cumulative update

    Checked all cables and connections (HDMI & USB-C)

    Restarted the docking station and laptop multiple times

    The monitor still shows “No Signal,” while other connected monitors via the same dock work fine.

  12. what logs/debugs are you willing to share that need to be collected to support DisplayLink engineering from the front end?

    When deploying DisplayLink-enabled docks to over 200 Windows 11 PCs in an enterprise environment (with multiple 4K monitors, USB–C PD, and 802.1x networking), how do you ensure that: (1) the DisplayLink driver is always automatically updated and compatible with different GPU/host controller versions; (2) any changes from 802.1x policy or from dock firmware updates do not cause the device to lose display connection or become “no signal”; (3) there is a quick fix when some machines report “USB device not recognized” or “DisplayLink device lost video signal” without having to reinstall the entire driver or replace the dock – and…

  15. DisplayLink not working properly with MacBook Pro M3

    Hello,

    I’m fairly new to macOS and just got a MacBook Pro M3 this week.

    I’ve connected it to my Dell D6000 docking station using USB-C, which is hooked up to two external monitors (one via HDMI, one via DisplayPort). I’ve already installed the DisplayLink Manager app and enabled the Screen Recording permission, but my external displays only work after I log in — there’s no image at the login screen.

    Has anyone else run into this issue or found a workaround?

  20. Displaylink driver support for ubuntu 25.10

    I recently updated my laptop to ubuntu 25.10 from 25.04. After the update, my DisplayLink dock doesn't connect my screen anymore. The keyboard and mouse connected to the dock work, but not the screen.
    The drivers page shows official support only until Ubuntu 24.04, which is 1.5 years old now. It would be nice to have support for more recent versions.
