  1. Last version of DP Presenter for Android (4.2.x) is sluggish!!

Version 4.0.x worked fine, even if resolution was limited. The new version is sluggish as hell (I am using a 3840x2160 monitor, but I don't care about hi-res, I want a usable experience).
Please fix or, if anything, add a setting in the app to set a maximum resolution.

  2. Inheriting from Ukraine while living abroad

My cousin died in Kharkiv and I inherited his apartment, but I'm based in Germany and have absolutely no clue how to actually claim it or protect it long-term. The inheritance process seems impossibly complicated with two completely different legal systems involved, and I cannot afford to spend weeks traveling back and forth between countries. What's the realistic path forward without constantly flying back to Ukraine? Should I hire someone local or is there a way to handle this entirely remotely from Europe?

  5. FNAF 4 Game

As the fourth entry in the award-winning Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, FNAF 4 introduces a completely different gameplay style. Players no longer defend themselves as a night guard but instead become a young child trapped inside a bedroom haunted by horrifying nightmare versions of the animatronics. Survival depends on listening closely to every sound, checking doors, and keeping fear under control until dawn.

  6. Anyone else keeping old PowerPC hardware alive with Void Linux?

I've got a couple of aging Power Mac G5s sitting around that I just can't let go of, but finding a modern Linux distro that still supports them has been a nightmare. Most mainstream projects dropped 32-bit and big-endian support years ago. Then I stumbled across an unofficial port of Void Linux specifically for PowerPC and Power ISA hardware, and honestly, it's been a lifesaver. They support both 64-bit and 32-bit hardware, with little and big endian modes, and they aim to be legacy-free using the modern ELFv2 ABI where possible. What really impressed me is their package coverage —…

  7. I've heard great things about Shipixy for shipping electronics, and I'd consider using it if I ever need to send my DisplayLink

    Hi everyone,

I've been using DisplayLink docks for my remote work setup, and I think better built-in diagnostics would make troubleshooting much easier. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether the issue is with the dock, the cable, or the software.

I've also heard a lot about Shipixy as a platform for shipping electronics, so if I ever need to send my dock for replacement or repair, I'll probably give it a try.

Has anyone else experienced similar troubleshooting issues with DisplayLink?

  8. DisplayLink on Ubuntu — Performance vs External GPU

    Hey everyone!
I've been using DisplayLink on Ubuntu 22.04 for about 6 months now, and I wanted to share my experience.
Coming from macOS, I was worried about driver compatibility, but honestly, it works pretty smoothly. My setup is a 4K monitor via DisplayLink docking station, and performance is solid for daily work — document editing, coding, light video work.
    What I noticed:

Initial driver installation took some research, but once installed, it's stable
No crashes or disconnections in months of use
GPU usage is reasonable, doesn't drain battery much
One thing: dual monitor setups can be a bit finicky…

  11. sleek docking station/thin client combined

    Hi,

We have a use case for an office building in which all desks are equipped with thin clients that allow users to connect in to virtual desktops. At the same time, some customers have laptops and choose to connect them directly to the monitor and keyboard.

DisplayLink owns a patent for a device that can function as both a thin client and a docking station. It sounds like the use case I have.

But does the device genuinely exist?

  14. Need Help With Game Assets Fast

I'm running a small AA team, and we're behind schedule on assets. External help seems necessary at this point, but I've heard horror stories about outsourcing studios that miss deadlines or don't understand the pipeline. Finding the right partner feels impossible when you need turnaround speed and quality simultaneously. Do teams like this actually exist, or am I just wishing for something unrealistic?

  17. A Simple Feature for Sharing Encouraging Messages

One feature I think could be useful for people who regularly work across different locations is a simple way to share personalized messages without relying entirely on separate messaging apps. Remote teams often need to send encouragement before presentations, interviews, project launches, exams, or other important events, but those messages can easily disappear in busy conversations.

For example, good luck cards could be a useful format for these situations. A small digital card could allow several people to add their own message, then share the finished card with someone before an important milestone. It would be more personal than sending…

  20. Recommendations for real money slots with high RTP and solid graphics?

Hey everyone! I’ve been on a bit of a slot kick lately, but to be completely honest, I’m getting tired of the same old clunky games on the site I've been using. Half of their titles look like they were built in 2005, and the loading times on mobile are painful. Plus, it feels like the payout rates on some of those obscure providers are practically non-existent. I’m looking for a solid casino platform that actually updates its library with modern, high-quality slots—things with cool bonus mechanics, good RTP, and smoothly animated themes (big fan of Megaways and adventure-themed slots…
