  5. Have you migrated from macOS to Linux?

    Hey I've been using a Macbook from my employer for a few years and I had many ups and downs moments with macOS. I find the standard applications really good like mail, calendar, and keynote. The performance of the M series CPU has no equal, specially for notebooks Geometry Vibes. But at the same time I'm a developer and being on Linux is also so good, the window management, being able to use Docker without a VM, and so on.

    Please add Display Controls, specifically Brightness and Contrast adjustments, for Windows 8.1 and above. Incorporating these features into the current DisplayLink taskbar application will significantly enhance user experience. By allowing users to easily adjust brightness and contrast directly from the taskbar, we can improve accessibility and provide greater control over display settings. This enhancement will not only streamline the process for users but also ensure that they can optimize their visual experience based on their preferences and needs.   7. Displaylink issues with Mac Mini M4

    Hello,

    New to the world of Mac, as I bought the Mac Mini M4 yesterday.

    I've connected it to my 'ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Dock', which is connected to two Dell screens with an hdmi cable and a display port cable. I've installed the Synaptics Displaylink app as well as the Login Screen extension, but I still get no image until I've logged in geometry dash lite. Is anyone experiencing the same?

  9. Expansive screen sizes on Android

    HI! This program is great; it does its job well. An ultrawide monitor and a Galaxy S8 are in my possession. The app's 16:9 aspect ratio means that the image has black borders on all sides, including the top and bottom. Regardless, the software is fantastic, and fixing it would be wonderful.     Update the Android app to support screen rotation. You can switch to portrait mode on my display connected monitor. However, unless I switch to landscape mode, my tablet will always show content in a box. It finishes by filling the screen. Please make it possible for me to use the app when holding the phone in portrait mode so that it can fill the screen of my portrait monitor Foodle. For a little moment, it shows the right thing before spinning completely around.

  11. Make driver updates happen automatically, regardless of whether a dock is attached or not.

    At my helm is a sizable Windows 10 client infrastructure. We prefer to keep drivers informed. I would prefer to have the most recent driver installed on a displaylink (DL) dock when I connect to it. To the best of my knowledge, this is not how things are done nowadays.
    Nowadays, when a computer connects to a DL dock, the driver is automatically enabled. If Windows Update checks for updates, it will update your DL driver. assumion that driver updates are enabled and that a more recent driver is accessible.

    Envision a world where I could skip the Windows update…

    First things first, here's my setup: "monster" make "aryond" two monitors, "monster tulpar t7 v21.7" gaming laptop, RTX 3060 Notebook GPU, GQeem T4801 docking station.

    Secondly, here's the rub: my OS of choice has been Windows 10. And it was perfectly nice with everything. Then I'll have to upgrade to Windows 11, so here it is.

  13. Problems with Netflix and HBO Go on MacBook Pro with the most recent version of DisplayLink (v. 13).

    I just updated the Displaylnk driver to the current version (13.7.6) for Mac OS X Ventura, and now neither Netflix nor HBO Max will work properly; the videos won't display, but the audio is fine. I've tested this in both Firefox 141.0 and Chrome 138.0.7204.184. If you want both platforms to function, you'll either have to disable Displaylink Geometry Dash or exit the app. Even after removing and reinstalling Displaylink, the problem persisted. Two high-definition external monitors are connected to my Plugable UD-3900Z.

  14. Code-sign and notarize DisplayLink Manager for macOS so it passes Gatekeeper checks and can be reinstated in Homebrew.

    The DisplayLink Manager app for macOS is currently failing Apple's Gatekeeper checks due to missing code signing and notarization. This prevents smooth installation and usage for macOS users, especially those installing via Homebrew, the widely used macOS package manager.

    Because of this, the DisplayLink Manager cask was deprecated and removed from Homebrew’s repository:

    Please update DisplayLink Manager for macOS so it is:

    1. Code-signed with a valid Apple Developer ID.
    2. Notarized via Apple's notary service.

  15. Netflix, HBO Max not working with latest Displaylink v 13 on Macos Ventura

    Just upgraded the Displaylnk driver v 13.0 Build 33 for Macos Ventura v 13.7.6 and neither Netflix nor HBO Max are working correctly, Videos just won't show up, sound works though, I've tried on the latest Chrome Version 138.0.7204.184 and Firefox 141.0. Disabling Displaylink or quitting the app is the only way to have both platforms to work. I've also tried unistalling Displaylink an reinstalling but no luck. I'm using the Plugable UD-3900Z with 2 HD external monitors.

    Hey everyone,
    I’ve been experimenting with portable setups lately and was wondering — has anyone successfully used DisplayLink on a Steam Deck (or similar handheld PCs like the ROG Ally or Ayaneo)? I'm curious if it's stable enough to run multiple external monitors via USB-C when docked.

    A few questions to get the ball rolling:
    1. Did the DisplayLink drivers install properly on SteamOS or did you have to switch to Windows?
    2. How’s the performance — any input lag or graphical glitches?

    Just wanted to share and escalate an issue we're seeing post-update to macOS 15.5 (Build 24F74). On an M3 Max MacBook Pro (2023), HDMI output via DisplayLink completely stopped working after the OS update.

    Setup:
    macOS 15.5 (Sequoia)
    MacBook Pro M3 Max (2023, 36GB RAM)
    Samsung 57" Odyssey Neo G9
    DisplayPort (left side) + HDMI (right side, DisplayLink)
    DisplayLink Manager (latest version as of posting)

    In enterprise environments utilizing MDM solutions like Jamf Pro for macOS device management, software installations often occur during automated workflows such as PreStage enrollment. These installations run in a root context without an active user session. 

    Currently, the DisplayLink Manager installer includes a post-installation script that attempts to launch the application using:
