Still no support for 1440p for 4k displays in 2023? I hope DisplayLink fixes this soon, since Apple continuously ignoring customer demands on this issue.
Apple being Apple - forcing consumers to buy their own overpriced monitors by tweaking their software not to support scaling for 3rd party 4k monitors, which come at a fraction of the price of their own monitors. And I will not buy it. BetterDummy is now known as BetterDisplay (if you buy paid version) will fix this issue BUT will mess up the virtual desktop feature, which is the only feature that keeps me with mac. As soon as Windows introduces similar independent virtual desktops, I am gone from the $hitty apple ecosystem. Tired of their monopoly by not allowing 3rd party integration. My 6-year-old windows connect with my two 4k monitors seamlessly (1440p), yet my brand new Mac doesn't.
