The limitation of being boxed into 1920x1080 has driven me to remove DisplayLink and simply purchase a larger newer monitor such that I can get the required real estate space on an M1 with a direct connection. While DisplayLink seems to be capable of driving multiple monitors the lack of ability to change resolutions and retain readable fonts that are not blurry simply exclude it from being used in an environment where you are in front of the monitor for 8-10hrs a day. If this request had of been delivered upon then I would have retained my DisplayLink adapters and avoided the expense of a new monitor. Given the period of time this request has been outstanding I don't see the capability being available any time soon. The only alternative is to remove DisplayLink and replace by other mechanisms.
