@TomP its a limitation of using DisplayLink and/or Macos. There has been no answer as to if this is a displaylink issue or a limitation of macos. With displaylink you either have 1920x1080 FHD or full 3840x2160. This request has been outstanding since last year and no response so you can only assume that it will never happen. So there are no resolutions that displaylink supports above FHD with HiDPI. The only solution is to drop the displaylink dock and use a single monitor as this will typically give you the HiDPI resolutions that are missing. Unfortunately it does mean a single display. Thats probably not to much an issue if the 3840 text from the mac is not readable for you.

What a great idea! Displaylink obviously get more revenue form the hardware licensing than the drivers. Opensource the drivers and let the community drive some of the development to boost the sales of the physical devices. That way we may get improvements much faster than today and not needing 7+ months to support resolutions. Different idea's and ways of achieving outcomes will aid the adoption of the hardware.

Given the lack of ability to produce a scaled resolution with HiDPI at 2560x1440, and no response to the feedback, i've sent back my D6000 dock as well as the M1. There is no response that the current issue will ever be resolved so no point hanging onto the Displaylink dock. Seems that 4k monitors and displaylink with M1 MAC are incompatible unless you want really large text. Oh well was a good experiment just not useful.

@Alban Rampon any news on 1.3.1release dates please? If this is not supporting 2560x1440 HiDPI I have a M1 and a displaylink dock to return ;)
