Feature Suggestion: Enhanced Multi-Monitor Layout Management
Hello DisplayLink Team,
I would like to suggest an enhancement to improve the multi-monitor experience. Currently, managing multiple monitors connected via DisplayLink can sometimes be cumbersome, especially when adjusting resolutions, scaling, or quickly switching layouts.
It would be very helpful to have a built-in layout manager that allows users to:
Save and recall multiple monitor arrangements.
Quickly switch between landscape, portrait, or custom configurations.
Adjust scaling and resolution for each monitor individually without affecting others.
This feature would make DisplayLink setups more efficient, especially for users with laptops docking to multiple external displays for work, gaming, or creative tasks.
Thank…

Problems with Netflix and HBO Go on MacBook Pro with the most recent version of DisplayLink (v. 13).
I just updated the Displaylnk driver to the current version (13.7.6) for Mac OS X Ventura, and now neither Netflix nor HBO Max will work properly; the videos won't display, but the audio is fine. I've tested this in both Firefox 141.0 and Chrome 138.0.7204.184. If you want both platforms to function, you'll either have to disable Displaylink Geometry Dash or exit the app. Even after removing and reinstalling Displaylink, the problem persisted. Two high-definition external monitors are connected to my Plugable UD-3900Z.

why is it so important to save energy resources?
Energy isn't free — and wasting it means wasting money. When we leave lights on or let heating and cooling run unnecessarily, we're paying for energy that isn't even being used effectively. Simple changes, such as switching to LED bulbs or insulating your home, can significantly lower monthly utility bills.
Energy efficiency means doing more with less, and that's good for both your wallet and the planet.

Enable automatic driver updates to occur whether or not a dock is connected.
I manage a large Windows 10 client environment, and we prioritize keeping drivers up to date. Ideally, I want the latest driver for a DisplayLink (DL) dock to be installed automatically whenever I connect to it. However, from what I understand, this isn’t the current behavior.
Currently, when a computer connects to a DL dock, the driver activates automatically. If Windows Update runs and driver updates are enabled, it will update the DL driver—assuming a newer version is available.
I imagine a scenario where I could bypass Windows Update entirely. Why can’t I configure the system to check for driver…

Add Adaptive Resolution Scaling for Better Performance on High-Resolution Displays
Hello DisplayLink Team and Community,
I’ve been using DisplayLink docking stations for a while now — mainly with Incredibox game 4K and ultrawide monitors — and while the experience is generally excellent, I’ve noticed performance drops during heavy workloads or when running multiple high-resolution displays.
I’d like to suggest adding a feature that allows adaptive resolution scaling or dynamic quality adjustment based on system load. This would automatically reduce the rendered resolution (or refresh rate) temporarily to maintain smooth performance and responsiveness, especially when the CPU or GPU is under heavy stress.
For instance, when multitasking between video editing, streaming,…

Can DisplayLink add per-monitor color calibration support?
I’m wondering: Is it possible for future DisplayLink wheelie life drivers to support per-monitor color calibration (ICC profiles) so each DisplayLink-connected screen can use its own accurate color profile?

Geometry Dash Lite vs. Geometry Dash Full Version: What’s Different?
In Geometry Dash Lite, customization options are limited, with only a few icons and colors available. The full version expands this significantly, offering more ways to personalize your cube, ship, and other forms. It also introduces a level editor, daily challenges, achievements, and user-created levels, which greatly extend replayability.

Need Help: Screen Flickering Error with Windows 11 and Docking Station
I am having an annoying issue with the external monitor randomly flickering when using a DisplayLink splitter.
This happens intermittently but more frequently when I have resource-intensive applications open or I am screen sharing via Zoom.
The second external monitor (or both external monitors block blast) occasionally flickers (turns off and on for 1-2 seconds) and then automatically recovers. The frequency is 5-10 times per hour.
Usually occurs when the CPU/GPU is under heavy load or when performing graphics tasks.1 vote -
Suggestion: Automatic Screen On/Off Timer
Hello DisplayLink team,
I would like to suggest an automatic screen-on/off timer feature based on working hours or usage habits. This will help save power and protect the screen's lifespan when using a multi-monitor setup.
Thanks, DisplayLink team, for always listening to users' opinions!

DisplayLink not working properly with MacBook Pro M3
Hello,
I’m fairly new to macOS and just got a MacBook Pro M3 this week.
I’ve connected it to my Dell D6000 docking station using USB-C, which is hooked up to two external monitors (one via HDMI, one via DisplayPort). I’ve already installed the DisplayLink Manager app and enabled the Screen Recording permission, but my external displays only work after I log in — there’s no image at the login screen.
Has anyone else run into this issue or found a workaround?

Would You Like DisplayLink to Support Wireless Docking with Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7?
Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about how DisplayLink technology could evolve beyond wired USB and HDMI setups. With the rise of Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 offering low latency and high bandwidth, wouldn’t it be amazing if DisplayLink supported wireless docking? Imagine connecting your monitor, keyboard, and peripherals seamlessly without a single cable!
I’m curious — do you think a wireless DisplayLink dock would be stable and fast enough for everyday productivity or even light gaming? What potential issues do you think might come up (like latency or interference)?
Would love to hear if anyone else would be interested in…

Addressing DisplayLink Challenges on Mac Mini M4
As a tech enthusiast, I believe that the integration of DisplayLink technology with the Mac Mini M4 presents both opportunities and challenges. While DisplayLink offers the ability to connect multiple monitors and enhance productivity, users often encounter issues such as driver compatibility, screen flickering, and resolution limitations. These challenges can hinder the overall user experience, particularly for professionals relying on seamless multi-display setups.
In my opinion, Apple should prioritize better support for DisplayLink in future macOS updates to ensure smoother functionality and greater user satisfaction. Improved collaboration between DisplayLink and Apple could lead to a more robust solution, empowering users…

Displaylink driver support for ubuntu 25.10
I recently updated my laptop to ubuntu 25.10 from 25.04. After the update, my DisplayLink dock doesn't connect my screen anymore. The keyboard and mouse connected to the dock work, but not the screen.
The drivers page shows official support only until Ubuntu 24.04, which is 1.5 years old now. It would be nice to have support for more recent versions.Operating System: Kubuntu 25.10
Kernel Version: 6.17.0-6-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U w/ Radeon 780M Graphics1 vote -
Exploiting Musical Creativity with Sprunki Rhythm Combination Skills
Sprunki immerses you in a universe where every character's gesture and reaction resurrects music. The game's algorithm, which blends rhythm, vocals, and effects, lets players create a whole song in their own way. The gray avatars, the "musicians" who wait for you to add life to the sound, are the highlight of Sprunki. Each avatar will change into a vibrant character when given a symbol, adding to the mix's distinctive tone. You may quickly transition from a happy to a spooky setting with a single click thanks to the two game modes, Normal and Horror. You can unleash your imagination…

True HDR & 10-bit Color with Per-Monitor ICC Color Management (Windows / macOS / Linux/Wayland)
Please add full HDR (HDR10/HLG) and 10-bit color support to DisplayLink pipelines, with per-monitor ICC color management across Windows, macOS, and Linux/Wayland. Today many DisplayLink setups are effectively SDR/8-bit, leading to banding and inaccurate colors for creators and analysts. Proposed capabilities: (1) end-to-end 10-bit path with HDR metadata passthrough and correct EDID handling; (2) OS-level integration so each DisplayLink monitor can use its own ICC profile (including factory LUTs); (3) a simple on/off toggle with automatic SDR↔HDR switching and safe fallback; (4) minimal added latency and no reduction of max resolution/refresh vs current support. This would unlock accurate color work…
