    I strongly support this. Having the driver open source and upstreamed into the Linux kernel would make long-term maintenance much easier and give the community a chance to improve compatibility and fix issues.

    Getting it upstream also means users wouldn’t have to rely on manually maintained out-of-tree drivers that can break after kernel updates. If the hardware vendor is willing to work with the Linux community and follow the kernel contribution process, I think this would be a big improvement. It would also make Linux support more reliable for users working with sites and services such as (http://motox3m.com.br)
