This is on the backlog of Linux work, but is possible to be addressed by the community.
It is possible the issue could be fixed with changes to the EVDI driver, which is an open source component available on github here:

So much this. Just broke again on kernel 6.1/6.2. This wouldn't happen if it were a mainline module.

This isn't going to solve the issue like mainlining the driver will - having it supported out of the box would be the perfect solution.
