To get Night Shift working on Mac OS:
1. Quit the Display Link Manager app and set it so that it does not start on bootup.
2. Unplug the USB wire (or any other wire connected to the Macbook)
3. Replug it. Wait for 10 seconds. The monitor will show up and Night Shift will be working.
I am using a Dell D6000 hub which requires Display Link to show the displays - but monitors work fine AND with Night Shift if the DisplayLink Manager is not running in the background.
