Support rotation on M1 Macs
Update to enable rotation to work correctly on M1 Macs.

DisplayLink Manager 1.6 or newer (https://synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/macos) on macOS 12 Monterey now enables display rotation on Apple M1 computers (details in https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1984314 )
For issues with this new functionality, please reach out to Technical-Enquiries@Synaptics.com so the team can investigate through a technical support ticket.

It is absolutely absurd that this feature is not included already. Give us an ETA on when this basic requirement for many will be implemented. Stop leaving us in the dark. This is the second most commented Feature suggestion (cant believe we have to even suggest this) and theres no status on it. The M1 have been out for over a year - you guys are slacking big time. This is unacceptable.

Just got a personal M1 MBP to replace my dying Intel one. Still have another Intel work one and my external monitors setup with the Asus Zenscreen rotated - it's a pain having to disconnect that when switching to my personal laptop because rotation is supported on the Intel laptop but not the M1 one.
As others have said, please at least offer some info as to an ETA for a fix or some insight as to why what appears to be pretty trivial a feature to add is apparently not.

Please add this. It's a critical feature.

It's truly unacceptable that this is not supported yet. And at the very least, be a little bit more vocal as to what bottlenecks the development for such a simple feature..

£160 and you cannot rotate your screen is madness.

I am successfully running Displaylink 1.4 on an Intel MacBook Pro running macOS Big Sur 11.5. I have also tried installing it on an Apple Silicon MacBook Pro also running macOS Big Sur 11.5.
As a result I can see that -
1. Contrary to a comment posted in February by https://support.displaylink.com/users/105572232-alban-rampon it still is not a universal binary
2. It is still using a legacy Kernel Extension and is not using a System ExtensionAs a result of issue 1 above it fails to install unless one has already installed Rosetta2 on an Apple Silicon model Mac. Rosetta2 is not unfortunately a standard component.
When are you going to issue a properly updated version? Hopefully before macOS Monterey? I have not checked but it is quite possible Apple will drop support for Kernel Extensions completely in Monterey as they have been warning developers for YEARS that this step was coming.

+1 on this.
Didn’t know the display link doesn’t support screen rotation.
Spend more than a 100$ on this. Would highly appreciate if this feature is considered on priority for next update. -

We are quickly approaching the 1 year launch of M1 and y'all have yet to support screen rotation?
It boggles the mind how so many other features from "DisplayLink Features Suggestions" both above and below "Support rotation on M1 Macs" have been moved to either planned, in progress or some active state. Why is rotation not important to the DisplayLink team? It's super important to your customers... clearly it should be the next feature up.

Please support screen rotation for Apple Silicon chips. I have purchased a few of of the 3500 and 5500 series chips not knowing they didn't support rotation out of the box. This is a huge issue for both corporate and personal consumers working from home or working in an office. Supporting M1 and future Apple Silicon chips moving forward is clearly a worthwhile investment seeing as your future Mac base is going to require this support either way if you want to keep selling hardware to us.

Please add this feature, I'm currently unable to use my screen with my M1.

without rotation, it's just no sense to use a second screen.
