Support rotation on M1 Macs
Update to enable rotation to work correctly on M1 Macs.

DisplayLink Manager 1.6 or newer (https://synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/macos) on macOS 12 Monterey now enables display rotation on Apple M1 computers (details in https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1984314 )
For issues with this new functionality, please reach out to Technical-Enquiries@Synaptics.com so the team can investigate through a technical support ticket.

Current beta introduces black screens for vertical displays. It also introduced a bug where two monitors of the same name are identified as one and I am unable to change settings on the mirrored screen.

Its worked for me but need some stabilization updates. I'm using 2 external monitors one horizontal one vertical.
Device: Macbook Air M1 2020
OS: Monterey 12.0.1
Dock: Dell D3100 -

I was initially confused when there was no rotation option in the Displays from System Preferences. I found out that the option to rotate external displays is located in the DisplayLink icon from the menu bar.
Runs perfectly with my Wavlink WL-UG3501H adapter. Kudos Synaptics for making this feature possible!

Guys you need to be on MacOS 12+ for the rotation to work.

Got an issue with this dock : https://www.wavlink.com/en_us/product/WL-UG69PD2.html
The second external monitor is not detected.
I've only a duplication of my first externel monitor.
The rotation is ok, but I've the same image on the 2 external monitors.Edit :
Ok, I readed everyone comment.
It looks like you need to be Monterey 12 for the rotation working out.
Also have 1 external monitor sound ok.
But when you have 2 (I have got 1 horizontal and 1 vertical, the same monitor twice).
The screen is duplicate to is other, MacOs only detected 1 monitor and Displaylink duplicated the same image to the other one monitor. So one change on a monitor will do the same thing to the other cause MacOs do not see it.
I hope i'm not the only one to have this issue. -

Managed to get my screen rotating 90 however I cannot use anything else than 1080p. My monitor (XB271HU -> 1440p) will turn black if I try to set it to 1440p even though my 2K adapter supports it (at 50hz). It's a somewhat win/progress but I hope I'll be able to select my resolution when this is out of beta. Thanks !
PS: My adapter is the UGA-2KHDMI (Pluggable) https://plugable.com/products/uga-2khdmi#image-modal

Rotation option is not appearing for me either in the 1.6.0 BETA.

Rotation option is not appearing for me. I have a 4k LG display with an M1 MacBook Pro running MacOS 11.4. I have the pluggable ud-6950z hub which has the DL-6950 chipset and should be supported according to the release notes. I tried with the DisplayLink hub connected directly to the computer as well as connecting the screen through HDMI & DisplayPort. The display link software is working fine but I still can't rotate the screen.
EDIT: Upgrading to macOS Monterey fixes it! The rotation option is in the display link menu.

Thanks for the beta release! It's working on my M1 2020 MBP, with a few important caveats:
- rotation only appears when the monitor (Asus MB16AMT) is connected directly to the laptop. Daisy chaining over a USB hub in a dock (CalDigit TB3) or different screen (LG 5K) sends the DisplayPort signal fine but the rotation option doesn't appear for the Asus.
- it needs to be the only monitor connected. I actually have 2 of the Asus monitors and both work with the beta driver but only one can be connected at any time. It seems to be a power delivery issue I think. Connecting one Asus monitor to one of the USB-C/TB4 ports and either the other Asus or the LG 5K to the other port causes everything to have a fit and switch profiles every 1-2 seconds, like the cables are being plugged and unplugged rapidly and the OS is being told to power the port then stop powering it.
So while it's great to see the driver finally support rotation on M1 Macs, it's still limited in usefulness for me. It will make a lot of other people very happy though.

Hi, judging from the last comments I see that vertical rotation is now supported. Is It? How do I download version 1.6?
