Black screens on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4+ and Mojave 10.14 Early Previews
The driver (DisplayLink Installer 4.1.11) doesn't work anymore withe macOS High Sierra bêta 10.13.4 (17E139) and newer.

Dear DisplayLink macOS users,
We are pleased DisplayLink 5.0.1 driver for macOS enables multiple extended display support on the latest Apple macOS 10.14.2 with additional features (clamshell and clone). We continue our strong support for the Mac platform and are working on delivering future updates with further performance improvements.
Driver 5.0.1: https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1257
If your DisplayLink enabled device does not seem to work on 10.14, this is most likely due to the OS blocking our kernel extension. Please ensure our kernel extension is enabled by the OS as described in our FAQ: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1188004
Should you still miss extended displays on latest macOS with latest DisplayLink driver, please create a support ticket so your particular case can be investigated. Here is how: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/755301
Due to changes in 10.13.4-10.13.6, it is not possible to enable DisplayLink extended displays, except one using Apple AirPlay. If your Mac is from 2011 running 10.13.4-10.13.6 and can’t update to macOS 10.14, you should remain with DisplayLink macOS driver v4.3.1 to enable one extended USB display using AirPlay, with additional displays cloned. An FAQ details how to enable Apple AirPlay with DisplayLink display for extend or mirror mode: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1854724
Audio and Ethernet functionality, where supported, stays unaffected in all versions.
We thank you for your feedback on DisplayLink products that helps us further improve our product offering.
Kind regards,
Alban

I use a mind-2011 mac mini so my port options are limited. With both the HDMI and the MiniDisplay port in use, the only other option for me for a 3rd monitor is via USB.
However I can announce that the people that make Duet do have a fix for their stuff. I just tested it and my iphone once again can be a monitor. Write their support and ask them if they have a fix and they will tell you. This hopefully means Displaylink can come up with something possibly.
I know I am dreading rolling back but now it is over a week and time is running out.

@brianc I've been trying to find this too so that I can just go back to 10.13.3 and use the former Displaylink software to enable multiple external displays. I found the file, but it does not just work that simply. From what I understand you basically need to restore you entire hard drive, which I am not willing to do at this point. Here is the link to the 10.13.3 file though...https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1952?locale=en_US

From what I am reading on the literature, the new OS 10.13.4 has restricted GPU access from the USB-C ports, so they no longer can push out video. If that is true, then for people like me who have a mid-2013 MacBook Air, the only option is via the single Thunderbolt port. It's not a matter of coming up with a driver on the part of DisplayLink, there can be no driver for a port that is not connected to the GPU.
Apple Support told me that because the native specifications was for dual display utilizing the MacBook screen and one external display, then it is not responsible/impacted by the change in GPU access that the new OS created.
If this is true, then DisplayLink should try to find a solution to be able to split the single Thunderbolt port in such a way to support multiple displays.
That said, this is only for my specific hardware issues (mid-2014 MacBook Air). I am not sure how this affects other hardware, but check the original specifications for the hardware you are using and find out what the native output is for dual displays. If it natively supports only one external display, you're in the same boat as me, with one dead monitor and a boat ton of work to do other than having to research this problem.
Please let me know if anyone has a solution such as an eGPU unit that supports intel, or a Thudnerbolt splitter, or whatever.

Roy Caratozzolo - yes, that's what I'm seeing at least on osx 10.13.4 -
basically back to useable, cloning laptop display. Had 4 screens before with laptop, so working at 3. Can not go clamshell (close lid) as the cloning stops since the laptop screen is disable - which makes sense in awork-around sort of way.

@Randy - I am also interested in what hardware you purchased to make displaylink function properly.....

Attempted to use the betta, Zero help. Does anyone have a replacement hardware solution for a 2012 Mac Book Pro?

Folks, Alban writes "... allowing to select which screen is cloned in a multiple display setup". To make this work go to System Preferences -> Displays. You'll see 2 displays and a menubar. Disable "Show mirroring options ...". Then move the menu bar indicator to your primary (e.g. laptop). The display driven by DisplayLink will then mirror the laptop, giving you more than 1 external display.
However, the display is still blurrier than it should be.

The new beta driver is useless. No hope for Disply Link in this issue with Apple. My device is now in the trash can waiting for the recycling truck.

No change using 4.3beta2; go blank, not appearing on SystemSettingDisplay, with my macbookpro 15inch 2017, macOSX10.13.3 (not 10.13.4). One good thing is no slow down like some other users. However, I am also considering to stop using DisplayLink and seeking another external monitor like eGPU (looks like Apple wants users to do). -- from a user since IIci

Just spent €300 on a thunderbolt 3 dock, displayport to hdmi adaptor and usbc to dvi adaptor so that I can get back to my 2 external display setup.
I will never be back to a company that offer a product, with no hope of actually being able to give their customers support, I understand that Apple changed the OS, but as a customer of you both, it is your responsibility to your consumers that you can uphold the integrity of your product. Trust in your company has now been totally eroded. Any product containing a Displaylink chipset will forever be on my blacklist.

4.3 beta 2 slows down my mac unacceptably!
This thread was opened beginning of February. It does not make me confident that you will solve this soon! Please make clear which alternatives you are following and update regularly on the success.
Apple added an eGPU native driver with 10.13.4. Are you able to use that interface by changing the DisplayLink firmware to be eGPU compliant?

I installed the Beta 2 just now and my display is in mirror mode and I cannot get it out of mirror mode as my computer is not recognizing the monitor. I'm running Mac OS High Sierra and I did run the update.
Please let me know.

Thanks DaveD.. so basically it will clone whatever monitor has the menu bar on top in "Displays"?

Roy Caratozzolo - I found that I had to change the location of the menu bar in the Arrangement section of the Displays control of System preferences... AND then reboot. Does not change the screen being cloned without a reboot, at least for me (MBP 2017 w/touchbar). 3 external screens: 1 DELL P2414H center (formerly main, now demoted), 2x DELL P2313H either side. Configured MacBook Retina display to host the menu bar in Display/Arrangement, rebooted. Now cloning the correct screen. Some truncation on either side, even with using Mac display scaled to "More Space"
