Black screens on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4+ and Mojave 10.14 Early Previews
The driver (DisplayLink Installer 4.1.11) doesn't work anymore withe macOS High Sierra bêta 10.13.4 (17E139) and newer.

Dear DisplayLink macOS users,
We are pleased DisplayLink 5.0.1 driver for macOS enables multiple extended display support on the latest Apple macOS 10.14.2 with additional features (clamshell and clone). We continue our strong support for the Mac platform and are working on delivering future updates with further performance improvements.
Driver 5.0.1: https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1257
If your DisplayLink enabled device does not seem to work on 10.14, this is most likely due to the OS blocking our kernel extension. Please ensure our kernel extension is enabled by the OS as described in our FAQ: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1188004
Should you still miss extended displays on latest macOS with latest DisplayLink driver, please create a support ticket so your particular case can be investigated. Here is how: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/755301
Due to changes in 10.13.4-10.13.6, it is not possible to enable DisplayLink extended displays, except one using Apple AirPlay. If your Mac is from 2011 running 10.13.4-10.13.6 and can’t update to macOS 10.14, you should remain with DisplayLink macOS driver v4.3.1 to enable one extended USB display using AirPlay, with additional displays cloned. An FAQ details how to enable Apple AirPlay with DisplayLink display for extend or mirror mode: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1854724
Audio and Ethernet functionality, where supported, stays unaffected in all versions.
We thank you for your feedback on DisplayLink products that helps us further improve our product offering.
Kind regards,
Alban

Since updating to Mac OS 10.14, my 2017 15" MacBook Pro becomes unresponsive when I plug in either or both of my two LG Ultrafine 4k monitors. The plugged in monitor stays black, and while I am able to move the cursor around on the MacBook's built in display, it will not respond to clicks or key presses until I unplug the monitor.
I've tried installing/uninstalling/reinstalling both the 4.3 and 5.0 drivers to no avail.

I've tried the 'Adrian Workaround'.... unfortunately it didn't worked out for me :(
Adrian Workaround
- I uninstalled the driver, rebooted.
- Prior to installing the driver I opened the Security & Privacy/General.
- Entered in my admin credentials then initiated the DisplayLink driver install.
- The Allow option appears. Select it
- Reboot and low and behold.Followed the 'mouse cursor only' as well... No succes!
The result:
- Black screen...
- No Arrangement tab in display settingsAny clues .... ?

Not sure how relevant this might be to others, but my issue was the same after upgrading my MBP Mid 2012 to Mojave my USB/VGA adapter was not working at all. Even after removing the drivers and reinstalling them, nothing worked. I decided to try a different adapter, USB-HDMI from a different vendor but with the same chip from DL, just to see if there was a difference, the adapter worked right away!
Anyways, great job Display Link i know i was waiting for about 9 months to get this working again, hope this does not happen again ;)

Great work on Mojave. Only issues I have are about the way screen is displayed. When lid is closed and laptop sleeps, connecting the docking is waking it up perfectly but external monitor does not show login screen (considered as second instead of becoming primary).
Second issue, is with the unlock with apple watch feature what does not work when the docking is connected claiming that the "screen is being shared".
Both situations suggests that the screen is still woking in a sharing mode instead of real external monitor. -

Just updated to macOS 10.14 Mojave and installed DisplayLink driver v5.0 and still don't have anything. Late 2014 Mac Mini.
I'm not getting a popup or notification in Security & Privacy about the software being blocked, so I can't allow it. Is this a known issue?

MBP 2018 with ****** and Driver v5.0 results in ***** screen with cursor. Workaround suggested by ****** below did not resolve this issue. Downgrading to driver 4.3 Beta 6 allows only 1 extra display in AirPlay mode. For a product that costs $180 this is pretty unacceptable. What is the ETA for a fix?

This solved the problem with Mojave.
DisplayLink driver v4.3 Beta 6 stays available to force an AirPlay extended display on these machines until a fix is distributed.

I just read the release note for 5.0 driver and it looks like this is a known issue.
"DisplayLink screens are black with only mouse cursor visible on MacBook Pro 2018 with initial macOS 10.14.0. (28503)"

I don't know why but after rebooting, uninstaling driver i don't get "allow option" in security window. I tried several times with and without dock connected. Now i have only two monitors with black screen and mouse on them. Is there any other option to fix this?

Running Macbook Air Early 2014 - Updated to Mojave - Installed 5.0 displaylink by following steps from Adrian (THANK YOU SO MUCH) - Everything is working. I have 3 external monitors with the laptop in clamshell mode. 2 from the displaylink adapter and 1 from the mini display port.
Here are the steps again
KEY STEPS:I uninstalled the driver, rebooted.
Prior to installing the driver I opened the Security & Privacy/General.
Entered in my admin credentials then initiated the DisplayLink driver install.
The Allow option appears. Select it
Reboot and low and behold... IM BACK IN BUSINESS.... -

Fully functional, update to Mojave and update the driver, 2 monitors 1920 and 1680, finally it only took 5 months.

Still will not work... MacBook fail... time to move to another device and away from DisplayLink I've been patient, using lots of cords and the fact is it looks like displaylink is focused on windows support and Mac is only a sideline that they focus on when we time permits.
I have mackbook pro running macOS Mojave and DisplayLinkUserAgent 5.0 - nothing but black screen extended monitors.

5.0 Beta + Mojave finally fixed the multi monitor issue with Macbooks for myself and my users. One weird thing we did discover is that if you have an extra cable plugged into the dock but it's not plugged into a monitor, the software thinks there's an additional monitor. Fixed by simply unplugging the cable that goes no where.

I'm also on a MBP 2018 with Mojave and I've been unable to have extended displays for months now. Each driver update over the past months, I've installed and each time it doesn't work.
Even that so called workaround airplay thing doesn't work for me. It just says it "can't connect".
DisplayLink, can you even bother addressing those of us on MBP 2018 with Mojave and telling us when we might hope to have the DisplayLink become something more than a useless piece of junk on our desks?

Still not working on MPB 2018 after updating to 10.14 Mojave and updating the driver to v5.0 despite the promises from Displaylink. Just showing a black screen and a cursor. Back to the horrible airplay workaround.
I have not been able to properly use multiple displays in months! My patience is coming to an end! -
@Lars, that product doesn't include any of our technology. You need to contact Dell.
