Black screens on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4+ and Mojave 10.14 Early Previews
The driver (DisplayLink Installer 4.1.11) doesn't work anymore withe macOS High Sierra bêta 10.13.4 (17E139) and newer.
Dear DisplayLink macOS users,
We are pleased DisplayLink 5.0.1 driver for macOS enables multiple extended display support on the latest Apple macOS 10.14.2 with additional features (clamshell and clone). We continue our strong support for the Mac platform and are working on delivering future updates with further performance improvements.
Driver 5.0.1: https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1257
If your DisplayLink enabled device does not seem to work on 10.14, this is most likely due to the OS blocking our kernel extension. Please ensure our kernel extension is enabled by the OS as described in our FAQ: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1188004
Should you still miss extended displays on latest macOS with latest DisplayLink driver, please create a support ticket so your particular case can be investigated. Here is how: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/755301
Due to changes in 10.13.4-10.13.6, it is not possible to enable DisplayLink extended displays, except one using Apple AirPlay. If your Mac is from 2011 running 10.13.4-10.13.6 and can’t update to macOS 10.14, you should remain with DisplayLink macOS driver v4.3.1 to enable one extended USB display using AirPlay, with additional displays cloned. An FAQ details how to enable Apple AirPlay with DisplayLink display for extend or mirror mode: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1854724
Audio and Ethernet functionality, where supported, stays unaffected in all versions.
We thank you for your feedback on DisplayLink products that helps us further improve our product offering.
Kind regards,
Alban

I've been using this and it has worked fine ever since beta three: https://www.sabrent.com/product/USB-HRHD/video-audio-usb-2-0-hdmi-dvi-adapter-multiple-monitors-2048x1152-1920x1200-displaylink-dl-195-chipset/
This gives my 2011 Mini a 3rd monitor. Not sure why all you peeps with newer gear are having issues. This solution is dope and it is funny when you peeps be crying.

I found a solution that actually works:
1. Purchase a new Macbook Pro 13" with TB3-ports
2. Purchase a new Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Puck RX 570
3. Sell my Macbook 12"
4. Throw away my Plugable USB-C Triple Display Docking Station using DisplayLink SW
5. Connect everything
6. Smile because it works
7. Cry because it costs a lot -

I unplugged the displaylink usb from my computer, uninstalled the display link program, rebooted my computer, reinstalled the latest driver, which will require another reboot and it worked perfectly,
Also check and see if the display link has access to the computer via the security and privacy menu in the system preferences.
I am not sure if this will work for everyone. I have a MacBook mid 2012 edition.
Best of luck to all.

Is it safe to update to 10.13.5? I have everything working great now on 10.13.4 - Retina MBP with two external displays (one HDMI and the other DisplayPort). Will upgrading break things (again)?
Thanks.

For those of you still waiting for a fix, this is a solution I picked up about a month ago for my mid-2010 iMac, and it works great: http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/dh2go/digital_me/

"MacBook Pro + DisplayLink Docking Station + Two external monitors with DisplayPort connectors, extending the desktop across a total of three screens".
That's what was advertised, that's what I purchased, and I won't settle for anything less.
Let's wrap it up, folks.

Any High Sierra users trying to get their full screen solution back with Displaylink on a USB3 Port of a Mac Mini to get 2560x1080?
After the OS update I am no longer able to use the full width of my LG L29UM68-P screen, only the normal 1960x1080.
Machine: Mac mini Server (Late 2012)
OS: High Sierra 10.13.5
Accessory: Superspeed USB 3.0 to Hdmi Adapter
Software: DisplayLink driver v4.3 beta 5 -

Did you guys fix something? This morning I got a notification on my MBP to give Displaylink User Agent permission in the Accessibility portion of the Privacy tab in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy.
Now everything works perfectly with my dock! Kindly let us know what you have done. I didn't see an apple update or anything that went through, so I am a little confused about where this change came from or how to implement this for other users in our organization.
Kindly enlighten us at the top!

Are there any alternative docks that support 3 monitors using only 1 thunderbolt 3 cable without using displaylink? I have only found 2 docks that support 3 monitors, but they both use displaylink to accomplish this. I have a workaround using multiple usb-c to hdmi adapters, but I wish I could get away with plugging in only one cable.

I have it working using the beta 5 but it does not match my monitor resolution and I want to rotate the display so while it is better than a blank display it is far from the original solution. Does anyone have any information regarding a fix in the next mac os update?

Beta 5 + MacOS 10.13.5 working perfectly here with one extended monitor. Way more seamless than previous beta versions so in my case it's viable now.

This is really starting to take to long, is this not working part of the warranty in that case I'm going to ask my money back.

Dear people,
I don't want to be disrespectful to DisplayLink, but; is there anyone who tried other products for this issue? I'm not a techy guy, so please don't grill me for this (dummies-level) question. I use MacMini (late2014) with 3 monitors (for stock trading). Today I found on Amazon "Wavlink USB to HDMI" and "Startech USB to HDMI" and I'll try those. Anyone has gone the same route?
Thanks in advance. Cheers from Berlin, Germany.

Dear Alban,
I work in tech and I understand how these things work but for the love of god, fix this issue! You don't realize how much damage this does to your company. Hire more people, do weekly hackathons, etc. Just do something. I haven't experienced so much incompetence in the past.
