Black screens on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4+ and Mojave 10.14 Early Previews
The driver (DisplayLink Installer 4.1.11) doesn't work anymore withe macOS High Sierra bêta 10.13.4 (17E139) and newer.
Dear DisplayLink macOS users,
We are pleased DisplayLink 5.0.1 driver for macOS enables multiple extended display support on the latest Apple macOS 10.14.2 with additional features (clamshell and clone). We continue our strong support for the Mac platform and are working on delivering future updates with further performance improvements.
Driver 5.0.1: https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1257
If your DisplayLink enabled device does not seem to work on 10.14, this is most likely due to the OS blocking our kernel extension. Please ensure our kernel extension is enabled by the OS as described in our FAQ: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1188004
Should you still miss extended displays on latest macOS with latest DisplayLink driver, please create a support ticket so your particular case can be investigated. Here is how: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/755301
Due to changes in 10.13.4-10.13.6, it is not possible to enable DisplayLink extended displays, except one using Apple AirPlay. If your Mac is from 2011 running 10.13.4-10.13.6 and can’t update to macOS 10.14, you should remain with DisplayLink macOS driver v4.3.1 to enable one extended USB display using AirPlay, with additional displays cloned. An FAQ details how to enable Apple AirPlay with DisplayLink display for extend or mirror mode: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1854724
Audio and Ethernet functionality, where supported, stays unaffected in all versions.
We thank you for your feedback on DisplayLink products that helps us further improve our product offering.
Kind regards,
Alban

Not really sure which is worse, an update that says the exact same thing as the one before, or no update for three weeks....
Guess I'll just pop this dock of mine next to the door in my house instead. It'll do more as a doorstop at this point.

I'm running High Sierra 10.13.6-- is there any way to use a D6000 Universal Dock with my MacBook Pro?

@Dammark The Dell TB16 dock does NOT work with the mac and never will from what I understand. Thunderbolt tech doesn't mean anything. There is a hack you can do, just google how to enable unsupported thunderbolt 3 devices on the macbook. I don't suggest hacky solutions at an OS level, however, if you already purchased the tech, it's a usable solution.

I've just ordered one of these, Dell TB16 Thunderbolt Dock 240W, for my MacBook Pro.
I'll let you know if it works as expected. -

You dont need to hurry guys! After Months of waiting we found another solution. We throw out our 600 DisplayLink Docks and lookig forward to use Thunderbolt Dock in future!! Better support, better performance, no DisplayLink nor other Drivers needed.... thank you very much for wasting our time and money!

I think that after 4 months on no solutions you can remove the mac logo on your benefit page (http://www.displaylink.com/corporate/benefits) until you aren't able to solve this problem! A lot of companies rely on your product because they was compatible with mac and now you're are waiting that apple fix the problem for you? This is very unprofessional behaviour of your company!

Almost a month since your last update! I'm going to refrain from being overtly rude here but as one of the customers who has 4 of your most expensive docks, I wish you could either come up with a solution to this serious problem or offer some form of consideration for having to continue dealing with this considerable inconvenience. I'm honestly sorry to complain but it has now been approximately 4 months since you first identified that the newest version of your flagship product was fumbled so severely that it won't even function with the most popular operating system on the planet. As an example, that is four months of this customers in particular having to use Windows instead of his used-to-be-brand-new 2018 MacBook Pro. I can't express just how disappointed this is. At any rate, I no longer suffer from the illusion that my, or any of your other customer's disappointment concerns you in any practical way. I'm sorry to be so harsh but i honestly believe I could have written a patch that would correct this issue by now. I find it hard to believe this isn't a top priority for your dev teams considering how fickle a thing market share can be. The fact that it has now been almost a month since you updated your customers who are dealing with this problem daily makes me wonder if you've given up. Please let us know something. We would greatly appreciate it if you would commit to a completion date and make your dev teams hit it instead of simply proffering more hope.

@Ricky I got a similar update form Apple. I had reported a bug linked to the original bug report from displaylink. I hope it is true.
I have a feeling the fix will require an additional driver change from DisplayLink.
So, DisplayLink if you could elaborate on this it would be great.

UPDATE FROM APPLE 7/23/18
I have been in contact with apple on behalf of my corporation's dev team and this is the response I have just received:
The original report on this issue, Bug ID 37296125 is closed and resolved in macOS 10.14 internal testing. When macOS 10.14 beta 5 is available to you, please test again.
This was in response to my bug report about this issue. I had to press pretty hard to get any real info, but according to this, we will regain display link support in Mojave. Many large corporations have been pressing hard to get info on this. I'm not sure why no official announcement was made, but lets hope this works out.
