Black screens on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4+ and Mojave 10.14 Early Previews
The driver (DisplayLink Installer 4.1.11) doesn't work anymore withe macOS High Sierra bêta 10.13.4 (17E139) and newer.
Dear DisplayLink macOS users,
We are pleased DisplayLink 5.0.1 driver for macOS enables multiple extended display support on the latest Apple macOS 10.14.2 with additional features (clamshell and clone). We continue our strong support for the Mac platform and are working on delivering future updates with further performance improvements.
Driver 5.0.1: https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1257
If your DisplayLink enabled device does not seem to work on 10.14, this is most likely due to the OS blocking our kernel extension. Please ensure our kernel extension is enabled by the OS as described in our FAQ: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1188004
Should you still miss extended displays on latest macOS with latest DisplayLink driver, please create a support ticket so your particular case can be investigated. Here is how: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/755301
Due to changes in 10.13.4-10.13.6, it is not possible to enable DisplayLink extended displays, except one using Apple AirPlay. If your Mac is from 2011 running 10.13.4-10.13.6 and can’t update to macOS 10.14, you should remain with DisplayLink macOS driver v4.3.1 to enable one extended USB display using AirPlay, with additional displays cloned. An FAQ details how to enable Apple AirPlay with DisplayLink display for extend or mirror mode: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1854724
Audio and Ethernet functionality, where supported, stays unaffected in all versions.
We thank you for your feedback on DisplayLink products that helps us further improve our product offering.
Kind regards,
Alban

As an update to my post on October 8, 2018 @7:33pm I'd like to add that when looking inside the Activity Monitor the DisplyLinkUserAgent is shown as "Not Responding". SO the program is hanging which is *possibly* why the monitors are not being recognized.

I have 2 Display Link USB 3.0 to DVI Adapters (Product ID 0x4300 Version 36.07) connected to my Mac Pro Mid 2012 (via the native USB front ports), I have just updated from Sierra to High Sierra 10.13.6 and I cannot get the displays to function.
I have installed latest appropriate driver v4.3, and have also gone to the Security Preferences and "allowed the App to control my computer" under the Privacy tab, and have also added exemptions for the DisplayLink User Agent, the DisplayLink Manager in the FIrewall, all as recommended in the FAQ.
I have an ATI Radeon HD5770 video card installed that supports up to 8 monitors and am currently using their Web Driver as opposed to the Default macOS Graphics Driver.
Before updating the OS everything was working perfectly fine.

Mojave + v5 driver works great with my config. I followed others advice by uninstalling beta driver before installing mojave, then installed v5.

@Alban Rampon can you please clarify if the fix for 2018 MBP is on DisplayLink's side or Apple's?

@TheCork: Apple Watch problem was reported to Apple, as flagged in the dedicated thread (https://support.displaylink.com/forums/287786). Despite reading every single comment, I would tend to reply when there's at least some value in doing so.
@MarcelTK: We have validated the 2018 model fix and asked for it to be distributed as soon as possible.

@Alban Rampon, when can we expect an update for those of us unfortunate enough to have a Macbook 2018 on 10.14 and get black extended displays?

Frustratingly, it is working - but has also broken one of my favourite Mac features - unlock with your Apple Watch. As another user pointed out, it says that it cannot be used while in screen sharing mode - which makes you assume the current drivers are still a hack of sorts to get working rather than native external monitors. I doubt for one second DisplayLink will see this, fix it, or even care, now that they have drivers which most are reporting as working. Really frustrating as this was working fine with both monitors and Watch unlock before this fiasco began.

I updated today to 10.13.6 on my Mid 2012 MBP. I use a Mediasonic USB 3.0 video hub. I had 2 external monitors hooked up and now the externals will only mirror, the built in display is fine. System prefs only show one external and the built-in display.

I still don't understand why DisplayLink didn't see this coming and when there is a developer pre-release of each Mac OS. This level of business discontinuity isn't what I expect from a usually reliable company.

Please release an update which allows for more than one additional monitor for macOS 10.13.6. My work pushed an update which upgraded me to 10.13.6 and now I can only use one of my 2 external monitors.

Hi, I'm completely frustrated with Auvio, they're still working, I've done everything they say and my munitor is not seen.
When they will have something that works it has been months, if not well, almost a year waiting and I still can not work with this auvio.

MacOS Mojave on MBP 2013, DL driver 5.0... cannot get clamshell mode to work. Can anyone help explain what I might be doing wrong? I've got two external monitors, but I want to be able to work in clamshell, and right now it's not working.
Thanks!

Hi guys,
I have got the following issue regarding the DisplayLink for connecting two external monitors on my Macbook.
I have bought a USB adapter from a company called Ugreen in order to sync up one of my two displays via USB port. I have tried any possible way based on the article about Users of 10.13.4-10.13.6 should use v4.3 and I can not figure it out. I have already been in touch with the company's customer support but they can not help me out.
Somehow it seems that the device does not work on my Macbook although I can see it on my USB bus.
Could anyone please help me with this?
My set up is a MacBook mid-2012 running a MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6
Best,
Chris
