I’ve actually gone from macOS to Linux and found the transition surprisingly refreshing. macOS is polished, with great built-in apps and unbeatable battery life on M-series machines, but Linux offers a freedom and efficiency that’s hard to match—especially for development. Native Docker, customizable window managers, and a distraction-free workflow feel liberating. I do miss some of Apple’s seamless UX and tools like Keynote, but the trade-off for control, privacy, and a more “bare metal” connection to the system has been well worth it.
