An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment It's been over 7.74 years since we've been begging for DDC/CI support with DisplayLink on *nix!
As we wait for a day which may not come, I took action and built my own fix.
It's called HardwareDDC and lets you use a spare HDMI port for DDC/CI VCP codes as another port is used for video from your DisplayLink dock.

Now although it's not a perfect fix, it's better than nothing, right now I'm waiting on receiving the first PCB revision

That doesn't solve the problem completely, it's more of a Band-Aid as it does not bring DDC support. Software dimming on LCD panels is nowhere as great as native dimming.
