I have returned my expensive Startech dock for a refund as it is unusable and would operate purely as a paperweight - due to this atrocious bug.

After reviewing the history on this it is evident that this bug has been there for years and there is virtually zero chance of the vendor acknowledging the fault or resolving it. I fully expect that it is an intractable issue as it results from their fundamental solution design, which hogs the CPU and completely ignores the GPUs ... which are the components designed to do this job!

Bought 2 x these startech adapters and have now been using them successfully

... They do the job properly and your CPU is calm in their presence!

    CRITICAL IMPORTANCE

I am suffering from this defect, after purchasing a very expensive Startech Dock (https://www.startech.com/en-us/universal-laptop-docking-stations/dk31c3hdpd)

Connecting my MacBook Pro from USB-C to DisplayPort on my monitors provides great performance... So why, when using the DisplayLinkManager software and dock, does the performance crumble so that the system is inoperable, with unusable lag for the monitor display and operating mouse? Why does the CPU go wild on this process and cause the whole computer to grind to a halt?

Please can someone there provide some progress on what is being done to resolve this hugely serious bug?
