The change is needed in the operating system kernel mode graphics driver. Microsoft is looking into scheduling this development. In the meantime, provided you have purchased a platform allowing you to, the workaround is to disable the low end GPU so Windows uses the only one left. Today, Windows will always use the POST graphics card.

I have about the same issue, any monitors running through the D3100 will not recognize the Nvidia GPU (M1000M). We have been using the D3100 to go from our laptops at work to two 24" displays, Since the Anniversary Updates for Windows we can't run any Cad software on the monitors running through the D3100, so our office computers are down to one monitor connected directly to the laptop and a D3100 collecting dust next to it.
