DisplayLink is already a very useful solution for connecting multiple monitors, but I think there are several features that could make the experience even better.
First, it would be great to have more advanced display profile management. Users could save different monitor layouts and quickly switch between profiles for work, gaming, presentations, or docking at different locations.
Another useful addition would be better per-monitor settings, such as independent brightness, refresh rate, resolution, and scaling controls directly through the DisplayLink software.
It would also be helpful to have an improved automatic reconnect feature. When a dock or USB display is disconnected and reconnected, DisplayLink could automatically restore the previous monitor arrangement without requiring users to manually adjust everything.
Finally, a simple diagnostic and performance dashboard showing USB bandwidth, display connection status, refresh rate, and potential bottlenecks would make troubleshooting much easier.
