If this company isn't going to open source their drivers the LEAST they could do is support the current LTS Ubuntu. I invested in displaylink hardware because they claimed Linux support, I expect that to mean plug and play support on LTS Ubuntu just like it does on the latest windows and OSX.

If I had known better I would have gone with Thunderbolt, I hope I can sell my closed source junk docking station and buy something more modern before synaptics plans it's obsolescence and it becomes worthless e-waste.

After updating from Ubuntu 25.10 (Kubuntu) to Kubuntu 26.04 LTS my Displaylink driver no longer works, neither do my monitors, obviously.

I'm hoping it won't take to long to update the DisplayLink driver to 26.04 as Ubuntu 25.10 will soon be out of date and not receive new updates.
